Exceptional memories! Shelby was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. We came from the East coast on a company retreat. Some of us had experience riding horses and some didnt.
The meet-up site was very easy to find. The bathroom facilities were clean. And the scenery was breathtaking.
Shelby is a very patient, friendly instructor/guide. She prioritizes the health and safety of her horses which, as animal lovers, means a LOT to us.
She got our group of 6 riders up and onto our horses quickly. Instructions were thorough and easy to understand. During our two-hour tour she was a plethora of knowledge telling us the history of the area, explaining different cacti and vegetation, she pointed out animals along the way, and she took pics of us in prime photo op areas. We were also impressed with her courtesy to other trail goers.
Five stars all around! We recommend her tour to riders of all experience levels. Thank you, Shelby!

My sister and I booked this ride during a trip out to Arizona. There are many trail riding places in this area so it was hard to know which to choose but we went with Wild West Horse Adventures and I am SO glad we did! This is a wonderful and professional horseback riding trail company. Both of us grew up riding but my sister hasn’t ridden in a few years and I can be a bit timid outside of the arena at times. We needn’t have worried - the horses are calm, sweet and responsive. We had Tito and Banjo - loved them both! They were extremely steady yet didn’t seem depressed or sour like a lot of rental trail horses can be. It’s clear they take good care of these horses and they are very well trained. Our guide, Kasey, was literally the sweetest, it felt like being on a relaxing trail ride with a friend. They do provide snacks and water for the ride which is very thoughtful. We did the one hour ride and it was a lot of fun, beautiful scenery and not too challenging of terrain. Kasey took lots of pictures of us before and during our ride so we have some great photos of our fun ride. We even got to feed the horses treats when we were done! I would recommend this place to anyone whether a seasoned rider or a beginner. We will definitely be back - hopefully for a longer ride!

Took my 11 year old granddaughter for the 2 hour ride. Having ridden with various trail ride operators around the valley, this easily ranks the best. Well loved, experienced horses are essential for peace of mind on a trail ride, allowing you to feel confident in the saddle but also not feel that you’re on the back of a worn-down beast of burden. Our horses Poppy and Bingo were clearly beautifully cared for veterans of the trail who carried us with relaxed grace. Shelby was a wonderful guide, the trail is truly spectacular and I would recommend Wild West for anyone wanting to experience this quintessential Scottsdale activity.

Absolutely amazing! What a wonderful experience and trail ride! My wife and I live in Cave Creek, AZ and we love getting outside. We found Wild West Horse Adventures through some good friends of ours and we are so glad we did! We had a chance to go out on a ride with Shelby today and we were so blessed we did. The trail was gorgeous, the horses were perfect, and Shelby was so wonderful to talk with and hear her story about her company. We will definitely be back and next time we will bring friends! Amazing adventure! Me and my partner joined Shelby on early morning ride and it was so memorable and made our trip to AZ perfect. Tito and bingo were beautiful and friendly horses and shelby was very knowledgable and accommodating and made the ride so much fun. Thanks for having us!

Took an amazing slow, ride through the Sonoran preserves til we reached a little elevation and could see all the surrounding area. The views were incredible! Our horses, Yeller and Rooster, were so sweet! Shelby and Amy were so knowledgeable, not only about horseback riding, but also about the local culture and desert. The weather was perfect and the 2 hour ride was the perfect amount of time to ride. They were so sweet to provide us with water and trail mix in the saddlebag. This was such a fun experience to share with my mom, while being guided by Shelby and Amy! I will definitely do this again with Wild West Horse Adventures next time I’m in town. Thank you ladies!

What an informative and fun adventure this was! We had the best horses and best guide that we could’ve asked for. The trail was beautiful and us East Coast girls learned so much about the area and the terrain! I hope to bring other family and friends back to the area so they can experience this as well!

My boyfriend and I are from New Jersey. We’ve always wanted horseback riding but never got around to it. We planned a trip to Arizona and figured what better place to try it out! This was indeed one of the highlights of our whole trip! Shelby is amazing and made us both feel so comfortable! I had the honor of riding with Bingo! He was the best! So intelligent and loving. Warrior and Humphrey were quite the stallions as well! I would recommend it!! If you ever catch me in Arizona, I will definitely be back to visit our friends at Wild West horse adventures!
