We made an excellent choice for lodging when visiting Anna Maria Island. There are no words to explain how helpful Celine was from the first question prior to booking, to the good-bye text as we headed home! Celine leaves no stone unturned to make sure her guests feel welcome and comfortable !

Calico is a beautiful home! Our favorite part had to be the pool area. After a hot and sticky day at the beach, everyone looked forward to stepping into the cool pool water. Plenty of seating on the pool deck and in the lanai allowed for everyone in our family to relax and unwind.

We didn’t expect to use the elevator, but we are so glad we had this amenity. From arrival with large suitcases to taking the cooler to the kitchen for restocking before the beach, the elevator was a huge help for those of us in our “more mature” age, with bad knees!

All the “extras” really put Calico over the top!! Quality beach chairs, wagons, umbrellas, beach towels and especially the Cool Cabana tent (Awesome tent that takes <5min to set up!!) really made the beach trip so much easier when traveling from out of state. We didn’t get to enjoy as many of the restaurants as we had hoped. With school starting soon, everyone was trying to squeeze in the last bit of summer, so traffic was heavy and large crowds made for long waits. Our favorite meals were grilling burgers and having our own home-cooked seafood dinner at the house. Thank you again, Celine for being such a generous hostess.

This house and location was A+ for two merged families to share. The location to the beach and the access to all of the island via a free trolly made for a fun new adventure. The home was perfect for 8 people with plenty of extra space to “get away” if needed. The pool was perfect for the little ones during the day and after the beach but also nice for a parents evening cool down. Celine was the best host, so easy to work with and helped out a ton with planning excursions, eateries and daily adventures. Her home had everything you could

WOW- were the words our whole family used walking into this home. The entire space is beautiful, clean, well maintained and stocked with whatever you may need for a fabulous vacation. The outside area around the pool is just perfect for everyone to hang out together. The roof top seating area is just what you will need for relaxing with morning coffee. I cannot say enough about the host, Celine, she was incredibly responsive and accommodating throughout the entire process. She provides a lot of little extras, tips for grocery, dinner out, activities, etc to assist with your stay. We have been coming to Anna Maria for 7 years now and can say we finally found the house that feels like home away from home..

What a paradise! This roomy, awesome getaway was magic from the moment we entered and saw the vaulting ceilings, games garage (ping pong, basketball, corn hole and vintage working PacMan game) and ridiculously spacious master bedroom. We had seen the retro elevator on the website but didn't think we'd really use it; WRONG! We found any excuse to ride it every day; to the rooftop patio for breakfast, to the ground floor for the pool or barbecue, or in from the car with groceries. The pool is small and shallow but utterly charming with its waterfall, surrounding jungle rocks and palm trees that keep it shady even in the midday sun. We enjoyed sitting under the tiki hut watching our granddaughter play in the water with assorted inflatable creatures provided.
But the big draw was how easy it was to get to the beach less than two blocks away. It was such an easy stroll that we all - from 6- to 72-year-olds, including an aunt who is blind - walked over together every day, pulling our wagon full of beach chairs and toys. A couple of mornings we walked the same route over to the Beach Cafe for their all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, and again in the evening to catch sunset on the beach (to the sounds of live blues playing at the Beach Cafe Thursday night.).
In spite of all this, what really made the difference was the personal touch of the owner Celine. From the moment we booked last winter, she was quick to respond to every question, no matter how small - where can you eat crab? Do you have an iron? Where can we buy Florida oranges nearby? Four weeks before going, she sent us a list of the top 10 activities on Anna Maria Island, some of which we used, including the Pirate Adventure at sea and the build-your-own-donut bakery. Two weeks before leaving, she sent us a handy guide to grocery stores. The pantry had wonderful surprises - including waffle mix to use with the waffle maker (we did). The fridge held a spectacular charcuterie welcome box that we enjoyed over several days. And the bubbly provided was paired with some Florida orange juice!
We were a group of 6 with a car for only five, and although we thought about renting a 6-man golf cart, we ended up just renting a bicycle for our daughter to ride and meet us on the few times we all were going somewhere together - like the Wednesday Coquina Beach Market, or the Ugly Grouper for supper.
Calico is the perfect place for a multi-generation holiday; lots of elbow room and so many different gathering spots throughout the house where smaller groups could hang out without feeling they had to leave the property.
It's hard to think of a way this holiday could have been better!

Celine is a super host to the max!! No detail was missed! My week in Anna Maria was spectacular because of her! Comfortable, carefully manicured, amazing pool and stocked kitchen are just a few of the wonderful things. She is accessible when questions needed answering and always kind and thoughtful!
