I would not hire these people EVER. My daughter researched and found her from the venue that we had her wedding at. She was hired as the "Day of the Event Coordinator." When she arrived at the Bridal get ready room, she was abrupt and dismissive, especially to me and was short with my daughter. She also told my daughter, when she was signing the contract, that she would be with her throughout the night of the event to make sure everything went according to the timeline. This did not happen! Her staff was completely lost and not helpful at all. I was called by my daughter's father, while I was in the make up chair, that the napkins were not folded the way that she wanted and that they were not helping in getting this corrected. I went down and googled how to fold the napkins in 2 seconds. One of the coordinators said to me directly that they do not fold napkins and would not be doing it. I understand when it is not your job description but if you are the coordinator you should go above an beyond with being helpful. I proceeded to start folding these napkins. This, of course, took away from my job as mother of the bride to do this. The coordinator that was there saw what was happening and then started to make phone calls to get the banquet people. She realized what she had done and tried to appear like she was being helpful.

They were disorganized in getting the fathers to the first look area. I had to call the fathers on their cell phones to make sure they got there on time. Completely clueless. I had asked that they be at the church to fluff the train of my daughters dress because no one would be there to do that. She told me that they don't go to the church and that its the maid of honors job to do that. I proceeded to tell her that the maid of honor walks in before the bride so how was that going to happen. I told her to forget it and I would handle it.

My daughter proceeded to send the coordinator an email after the event, to schedule a conference call with her, myself and my daughter's husband to discuss what had happened. She proceed to tell my daughter the her schedule didn't allow and that she is too busy to even take a call. Customer service is lousy. I suggest that no one use this vendor EVER!!!!

Event: Wedding at Hotel Colonnade (Coral Gables).

Writing this review from the perspective of a groom who has recently contracted with Alore Events.

TLDR: Less than ideal, you deserve better.

My now wife and I contracted with Alore Events for ‘Day of Coordination’ for a wedding at Hotel Colonnade. She came as a recommendation from the hotel’s events director. Overall most of her online reviews appeared to be positive.

There are some positive comments regarding our experience with our planner Anna: she was responsive to emails and offered some suggestions early on. Unfortunately that is where the positive comments end. During the month leading up to the wedding it was difficult to arrange any phone conversation and when we did manage to do so it felt as if the calls were rushed with most of my wife’s concerns ignored or dismissed. One such instance was the wedding timeline she presented vs our photographer’s timeline. We were thrown off by her callousness but figured we should stick it out and simply dot our i’s and cross our t’s with each individual vendor (primarily makeup, photography and videography). Ultimately her final timeline was simply a skeleton which would prove unhelpful come wedding day. Needless to say my very proactive wife and MIL merged the wedding planner’s timeline with those provided by the vendors.

The aforementioned could have been chalked up as an inconvenience and quickly forgotten, but the performance of Alore Events on wedding day was reflective of the attitude and energy they had previously displayed. Anna herself showed up at the expected time at 1:30P, abruptly introduced herself to the Bride (no effort was made towards the MIL or adjacent bridesmaids) and made no significant effort in coordinating the day. In fact, she left never to be seen again despite her previous commitment to remain until at least 7:30P. The two assistants that remained behind were kind but completely unaware of the hour by hour timeline and therefore generally unhelpful in keeping everyone on track. One such example was Anna’s overly simplified “wedding party be ready for photography by 3:30P” when in fact the slotted times were between 1:30P and 2:30P for the groomsmen, 2:30P to 3:45P for the bridesmaids, first look with father, etc. Furthermore, small details such as napkin folding was simply “not something they did” despite the mother of the bride offering her time to teach and help with this small but important task. What was supposed to be a day of relaxing amounted to unnecessary work for the mother of the bride and the bridal party. Is the purpose of paying thousands of dollars for day of coordination to ultimately end up doing it yourself?

We were fortunate to have our incredibly helpful photographer, videographer and parents to make things happen and keep the day flowing. We’ve reached out to Anna to discuss some of the aforementioned shortcomings to no avail. Unsurprisingly we were told that she was simply too busy to take a call, and that as far as she was concerned all went perfectly well.

Alore Events provided us with a less than ideal experience. Less than the minimum. In the end there was no pride in the services provided. You deserve more on your big day.

Anna is the greatest planner of all time. She is so helpful so full of energy she gives great ideas and she definitely knows what she’s doing. I definitely recommend her she definitely knows how to handle things when gets get hectic. I recommend her so much.
