My husband and I came up from Tennessee for family reasons. We have stayed there a lot of times in the past as all of my family live in East Peoria. Every single time , without fail, the staff are the friendliest of any place we have ever stayed and we have traveled a lot! Yes, there have been minor issues with the rooms only a couple times and the repairs were done immediately! The breakfast is a wonderful perk! Not a “ continental “ breakfast. Price wise it’s a little more than other places in East Peoria but the peace of mind and the whole laid back atmosphere of this lodge is well worth it. I absolutely love this place! It’s our home away from home. Never had a negative experience!

Great hotel. Room was very spacious and clean. Great decor, bed was very comfortable. The price was also very reasonable.
Sue F who works at the breakfast area was so very nice and she keeps the breakfast area very organized and clean. The place is just so cozy, (did i mention clean?) and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again when coming through.

Very nice stay, very awesome employees. Sue F. In the breakfast area was an excellent and amazing employee. I am a disabled veteran and she helped in anyway that she could. I feel that she was one of those people who takes extreme pride in her job and is a major asset in your company. She is a dedicated person and as a retired employer, I feel she is an excellent worker that we always look forward to finding.

I enjoyed this hotel overall.

The pool is neat because you can swim from inside to outside without getting out.

The rooms and bathroom are spacious and clean.

When I was here the hallways could use a hit from a vacuum but that’s not a deal breaker.

The real shocker was at 11pm when I went to bed. I was shocked to pull back the covers and find 6 or 7 giant spots on the sheets. I went to the front desk and got new sheets. They explained that they were ‘bleach stains’ that basically ate through the sheets. So I guess that means at least they are clean! I went to out the new sheets on and they were the same way. Lol . I held the sheet up to the light and you can see right through it in those spots! Oh well. At least it’s clean.

My wife really likes the in-room lotions and soaps. I do too.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This place was disgusting! Had to stay for a Volleyball tournament with my family. The first night we got there very late and when we got to our room as a precaution I always check the beds. When I did, I noticed there was hair on my bed and obviously it wasn’t mine because i hadn’t even sat on the bed yet, the sheets were wrinkled and stained as if the sheets hadn’t been changed from the last person who had stayed there. The next day my daughter went to the pool and there was a restroom off of the pool so I went to use it and found it absolutely horrific. That night we ordered pizza and the box was still out in the morning when I woke up. As I was getting ready I noticed something moving in the box and it was a cockroach. When we spoke with the front desk they said there wasn’t anything they could really do at the time because the manager wasn’t in at the time. We’ve tried calling multiple times, to multiple members of management and left messages to never be answered or called back.

Lovely hotel. Clean, beautiful room. Pool area was clean and well maintained. The hot tub was out of order during our stay. Food at the bar was delicious (wings). Hotel and bar staff were very attentive and fun to be around. They were ensuring safety for all, making sure kids and teens were accompanied by adults or else heading back to their room by 11pm. Breakfast was hot, including scrambled eggs, sausage, French toast, pancakes, and an assortment of other items. Sue F was our server at breakfast and she was buzzing around taking care of empty plates and making sure we had what we needed. We had a very nice time!

We had one of the large suites and the Jacuzzi bath and steam shower were both not functioning they were they should. But they did help us out with a discount on the room. The pool was nice even if the hot tub was not able to be used. Breakfast was great and Sue F Was very friendly and checked on us often.

I've stayed at the Stoney Creek twice and both stays exceeded my expectations. The decor remind me of a cabin I once stayed in; it has a very homey feel.
The staff, especially the Breakfast Champion, Sue F, are all courteous and professional. The breakfast was fresh and hot.
I did not have the opportunity to check out the hotels recreation areas, but there is a pool and exercise room.
Both stays were in a King room and the bed, while not what I am used to at home, was more than comfortable enough for an excellent night's sleep.
I definitely recommend staying here when I'm the Peoria area.
