We spent five nights at the amazing Timmermann House in Aviston, IL. The innkeeper, Sandy is the ultimate professional. Such an authentically nice person. Her husband Andy, also so lovely, has great stories and made me want to sit and talk to him for days!! 🙂 This place is a gem and MUST VISIT destination.||The house is pristine and decorated so beautifully. The hard wood floors are immaculate and the bedrooms are super inviting and cozy. The house is a wonderful place to stay but then you go to breakfast and you are transported to culinary heaven. Chef Sandy is brilliant. Her food is perfection. She makes different dishes each day of your stay based on your preferences she obtains when you book your trip. The food is always fresh, mostly from their own garden. I can't even describe how amazing our whole experience was. The house is located very near many townships but it is so quiet and peaceful tucked away on a nice plot of acreage. The yard is massive and landscaped so beautifully. The minute you arrive, everything is just perfect down to every detail. I recommend booking early and request the bedroom with en suite bathroom. The king size bed is so comfortable and the linens / towels are 5 star hotel quality! The house has a beautiful outdoor deck overlooking the yard with shade cover. I could go on and on but really this was the best hospitality we have ever experienced. 10 out of 10 definitely would recommend!!!

Timmermann House was an unexpected delight in the Illinois farmlands east of St. Louis. We were there for 3 days doing the Illinois River Wine Tour. They had expanded and completely remodeled an old farmhouse, surrounded by lots of open space, and plenty of friendly cats and dogs upon arrival. Sandy is a gracious and friendly host, and serves terrific breakfasts. They were so delicious, we actually couldn't wait to get up in the morning! The rooms and amenities were new, modern, and perfectly maintained. Guests stay on the first level, while Sandy and Andy live on the second floor. We had the run of the first floor, as well as the finished basement when we wanted. The exterior was surrounded by well maintained plants, trees, and gardens. A large porch spreads across the front of the house, and a deck with comfortable furniture and a fountain are in back. Sandy was always helpful and full of information about the attractions in the surrounding area. We definitely recommend Timmermann House B&B!

Sandy and Andy were very inviting hosts and upon arrival and departure you could just feel the happiness all around us. Sandy was extremely helpful in making sure we were comfortable and anything we needed provided for us. It was nice to wake up and read the newspaper with Andy while Sandy was preparing our delicious breakfast. Sandy's homemade cooking was absolutely scrumptious and the wonderful flavor of the sausage and bacon was an added bonus! We had a very pleasant stay here and it is a very relaxing atmosphere!

We had a delightful stay last weekend. The B&B exceeded our expectations in a small town. The home is lovely and well appointed, yet comfortable. Sandy was a gracious hostess, along with Andy and Babe. Our room was spacious and the bed was perfect. The home-made cookies were yummy and the gourmet breakfast delicious! Also, their evening restaurant recommendation was superb. It was a memorable weekend!

We are two couples who have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint B&B located in the countryside. The highlights of our stay included: warm hospitality and great conversation with our innkeeper Sandy and her husband Andy, our excellent room accommodations with comfy beds, high end bedding/pillows, robes hung in the closets, and the scrumptious breakfasts prepared beyond our liking! Sandy had prepared yummy fresh baked homemade cookies as a welcome treat. This B&B lacked for nothing and you won't be disappointed!

Attended Winestock at Hidden Lake winery and was delighted to stay at Timmermann B&B in Aviston, Illinois. Beautiful deck overlooking farmland and wonderful accommodation made this the perfect place to stay. Sandy is the perfect host and a talented chef. The cinnamon bread, fresh grapefruit and the maple sausage rolls were delicious.

Sandy and Andy were excellent hosts for our one night stay in SW Illinois. We were on our way to Branson and wanted to make a break in our trek from Ohio, and we were glad we did.My wife (who is a total neat freak) said that without a doubt this was the cleanest and best kept place we had ever stayed. From her, that is an enormous compliment and we have traveled around a good part of the world. The breakfast was excellent - ask for some of their home made zingy tomato juice. We had a nice conversation in the evening over a shared bottle of wine. There is really no place nearby for dinner, but Sandy put us on to Popeye's Chop House (see my review) and we had one of the best meals we've eaten in a long time. It's really not that far away. In all, you won't regret staying here.

First time staying at a B&B, I normally stay at economy lodges. However, I jumped out of character this time since the Holiday Inn express was $90 bucks a night. I called Sandy kind of late (at least for her) she goes to sleep early because of her early rising to prepare a gourmet breakfast. We arrived about 8:30 PM and chatted more than we should have being such a late hour. Sandy was gracious and showed us the ropes and we retired for the night. Sure enough early next morning coffee, juice, fruit, and sweet breads were laid out in an exquisite manner second to none of the best hotels. It is apparent in spades that Sandy is striving to make everyone's experience a memorable one. I made a memorable experience by knocking off an easel and breaking it into three nice chunks. I know I wasn't her favorite guest right at that moment...Smile! I thought of laying down with Babe her (dog/daughter) and stay low until the moment waned. However, she shrugged it off like a pro and of course an immediate offer to replace it was rendered. I could go on and on but its time to get to the bottom line and say the experience was a positive one and if you're the kind that likes something different, then the Timmermann House will fill the bill. BTW, we stayed four nights, and I don't throw money away. However, this was considered an investment in doing something different and pleasing my wife with a surprise she didn't expect to receive.||||Charlie & Judy.||||Virginia||||PS: We also enjoyed Andy, and I suggest you have a chat with him to round off your visit!
