I toured Boulder Ridge when I was looking for a wedding venue. I decided to have a smaller wedding so this venue is too big, but I would certainly recommend it to anyone! Bree was so welcoming and helpful during our tour. Even without booking there I felt like an honored guest. The customer service was excellent and I think that’s VERY important when choosing a wedding venue. The grounds and the ballroom are also beautiful and their wedding packages have so many features that I love.

Fantastic venue to spend a day at for your wedding. From the bridal suite, outdoor landscaping and elegant ballroom, Boulder Ridge is the top club house in the area with ample stunning backdrops for your wedding photos and video.

I recently attended my niece's wedding at Boulder Ridge Country Club, and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. While the venue and golf course are beautiful, the service was severely lacking.

Staff: The couple initially connected with Giana, who was warm and accommodating. However, after her departure, Bree Burke took over as the point of contact, and her demeanor was quite the opposite—cold and dismissive. Despite our efforts to move forward positively, Bree’s attitude made planning difficult. When issues arose on the wedding day and we sought help from her supervisor, Sara Gilmore, post wedding, things only got worse. Sara was rude and dismissive, refusing to acknowledge the couple's concerns and essentially invalidating their experiences.

Food: The food tasting prior to the wedding was promising, but the actual meal was a major letdown. Every dish served was excessively salty, leading many guests to leave their plates unfinished. We brought this to the onsite team's attention, but in our post-wedding call, both Bree and Sara dismissed our complaints, insisting the food was fine because people ate it. This disregard for our feedback was incredibly frustrating.

Bar: The couple paid for a premium bar package, but guests were served well liquor instead. When this was pointed out to Carson, another staff member, he seemed concerned and promised to report it. Yet, in our follow-up conversation, Bree and Sara contradicted him, claiming the experience had been accurately represented, which felt like a direct attack on the bride’s honesty.

Overall, this venue has potential, but the staff's attitude and the quality of service do not match it. There were very clear biases at play, and racist undertones in our interactions with certain members of their team! I wouldn’t recommend Boulder Ridge Country Club for such an important occasion or of any occasion for that matter. With so many amazing venues in and around the Chicago land area, do yourself a favor and choose someplace else.

The family plans to file an official complaint with the better business bureau as well.

I have worked with Bree Burke as my event planner over many years and for many different kinds of events. She is and was excellent in every way. She is and was detail-oriented, kind, and thoughtful down to the very last last minute of my event. Bree explains every part of the event process with patience and is always available to answer questions. I highly recommend working with Bree for your events at Boulder Ridge!

Where to begin! Boulder Ridge Country Club was incredible to work with in planning our August 2021 wedding and were so accommodating when we initially decided to postpone from August 2020 to August 2021. During our planning Boulder Ridge hired a new Private Events Director and Coordinator, Sara and Gianna did not miss a beat and got right up to speed! I really appreciated the attention to detail and many suggestions Sara provided as we coordinated the logistics of the reception. The food, drink, cake - everything was incredible and we could not have had a more perfect day! Our guests are still raving about the wedding.

A friend of ours had a wedding reception here and it was a great time. Make sure you go in the correct entrance (not the one off of 62). Staff was very accommodating and professional.

I really wanted to love this place! I had my baby shower here yesterday. Bree Burke helped me plan my event and she was great. However, the day of my event, my event coordinator (Melinda) was so rude. I never leave reviews for Country Clubs because my parents and my family have been working at country clubs for 30+ years so we understand how a lot of things can be taken out of context but I have to share so that hopefully Boulder Ridge can make the appropriate changes.

My rental time was from 12-3pm. I have emails stating that we had an 1 of breakdown & clean up (of our decor). At 3:30 - 3:40pm my sister in law asked for a trash bag and Melinda said that she was not giving us a garbage bag because we were one hour past our event. I went to talk to her and asked her what she meant by that if I made sure that we had an hour to break down? She told me to take it up with Bre because she had just gotten off the phone with her. She was so rude while talking to me and didn't even bother to look at me.

Honestly, she ruined my day and my first ever baby shower. I think there are better ways to communicate something, especially to a pregnant woman. Luckily, another employee overheard and gave us the trash bag so we could hurry up and leave. I recorded what time we walked out the door with all of our belongings AND decor and it was 3:59pm.

It is unfair to promote a rental space from12-3pm with a two hour set up and one hour clean up, if they expect you to be out the door with all your decor and guests by 3pm ON THE DOT. If I would have known that was the case I would've gotten to another Country Club in a heartbeat.

Moreover, the food did have great flavor but the service was slow, nice people, but slow. Our baked potatoes were cold. They did not have any salt or pepper on the tables. They brought out salads before the dressing. There wasn't bread at the table and when they brought it out, my Mom had to remind them to bring the butter. It would've been nice if the coffee mugs were already at the table. When they'd serve you coffee, it took a long time to get the sugar and by then the coffees got cold. Perhaps I am nitpicking since I've been going to Country Clubs since I've been born, literally, but these are all things that make a huge difference.

I do not recommend Boulder's Ridge, and I will never be hosting an event here again. There are so many better Country Clubs to host your event but book here at your own risk.
