From day one, Shaun helped us choose top-quality, reliable vendors for every part of our wedding, and it was clear that his long-standing relationships with them made everything run smoothly. He even made a point to connect with the church’s wedding coordinator, whom he hadn’t met before, to ensure all aspects of the ceremony were flawless. Shaun attended our rehearsal too, ensuring every detail of the ceremony would be seamless on the day itself.

Shaun organized regular monthly meetings, keeping us on track every step of the way. His experience helped make decision-making easy—he seemed to have the perfect ideas and solutions for creating a beautiful, unique event that captured our style. He collaborated with local event production vendors to add creative touches and worked directly with the venue and catering team to make sure the decor, meal, and drinks were absolutely perfect. One of the highlights was that our venue was dog-friendly. Shaun went above and beyond to ensure our 18-year-old pup was comfortable and taken care of throughout the evening. It made our day even more special to be able to include her!

Shaun’s coordination on our wedding day was nothing short of incredible. His high energy and positive spirit made him such a joy to work with, but he also knew exactly how to run the show behind the scenes. Every detail, from the groomsmen’s boutonnières to the lighting in the bridal suite, was managed with care. He even arranged private snacks and drinks for us in the bridal suite right after the ceremony—a small touch that gave us a precious few moments to recharge before joining the reception.

His team handled transportation seamlessly, counting guests to make sure everyone had a seat and timing everything perfectly so that no one was left behind. Shaun’s meticulous timeline kept every part of the day moving smoothly, and his coordination with every vendor, from the church staff and priest to the event crew, was flawless. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing—Shaun and his team orchestrated every moment with grace and professionalism.

So many of our guests told us it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they’d ever attended, and we owe so much of that to Shaun’s incredible work.

Since Shaun is a master of all trades, he also planned, decorated, and coordinated our zebra-themed piano bar after party. We got a bit overwhelmed with all the options, but even then, Shaun was there to guide us through and went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. This was in addition to planning the wedding itself!

Shaun Rajah was the best part of my wedding planning experience!!! He was my wedding planner for my January 2024 luxury wedding at The Langham Hotel in Chicago. Shaun was extraordinary!! He was extremely professional and detail oriented, had a deep Rolodex of wedding vendors that he shared with me and he had a timeline that he kept me on top of! Moreover, he had great, new and sometimes over the top ideas for decor and logistics that I hadn’t already thought of! He was probably the best thing about my wedding planning experience! I am a licensed professional counselor with a PhD. The reason I open my review with this is because I have to state even with all of the knowledge I have about the human psyche, relaxation went out the window when I began planning my wedding. If you are a bride, or have been, you may know all too well, the phenomenon I write of. All that to state that Shaun was the person that kept it together for me when I started to get bride brain. I trusted him and he knew exactly what he was doing. I was married at the Saddle and Cycle Club in Chicago, IL. Shaun was the person that transformed an already dream like venue into a heaven for my husband, my family, and for me.

My wedding was more than I expected in terms of opulence; things were right on schedule, and I did not have to think. All I had to do was smile. I juxtaposed this to other weddings I have attended or stood up in. If you want the experience of being able to soak in the day, you hire Shaun and you trust his judgment with vendors.

We certainly discussed, at length, how things will look and turn out. I was still in shock when I saw the way he transformed the space. He even came to my rehearsal to ensure that everyone was ready, and happy. He guided my mom, (who I love…but wedding tension is inevitable). He was there to soothe her and reassure her about all the small things, which I no longer had the patience for. Sorry, mom. 🙂

Shaun is not just the most stylish person in Chicago. He is a therapist, a stoic professional, an expert in patience, and most importantly, a hard worker. He knows what he is doing and has the right connections. Weddings can be a tense time between family members requesting a lot of you. Whatever was needed, even last minute, he honored, with class.

Not once has Shaun said a negative word about any person. I think this speaks to his character. I have seen this firsthand even when I am being gossipy. He is far too mature to ever say a bad word about anyone or anything. I find this admirable in an industry where it would probably be easy to get emotional. Not Shaun. This is rare. Let me circle back to him being a hard worker. Shaun is far too classy to ever get catty. He has a job to do and that is all that matters to him. A wedding planner with this kind of maturity and professionalism is where you need to look. Allow me to say what Shaun never will: a lot of wedding coordinators have their heads in the clouds. Shaun isn’t going to brag about his tenacity so allow me to on his behalf. Meanwhile, while others prioritize how things “could” be, Shaun delivered what you wanted, ahead of schedule. He is no nonsense, and yet, has a friendly heart and an empathetic spirit.

When you hire him, yes, you get the opportunity of a lifetime to have a gorgeous wedding. You also get an organized professional who is quick, doesn’t sleep but somehow functions like he’s rested for a lifetime, and an intelligent player in the realm of the wedding game in Chicago. He also dresses like a model, and understands the world of high fashion. How one person can do so much is mind boggling, but I’m just thanking the fates that we met. I wish I could hire him as my life coach, and you’ll want to be his friend too. It is not a secret that I love Shaun and will always support him. Weddings are weirdly scary and daunting in this current zeitgeist. Treat yourself to making it an actually enjoyable experience and hire this man.

We were introduced to Shaun through a mutual friend who told us about how he was one of the best in the industry. They were not exaggerating when they said that he really was the best! Shaun made sure to reach out to us early on to find out more about us and get a feel for what we wanted our wedding to look like. Shaun was extremely detail oriented and made sure to coordinate with all the vendors we selected for our wedding venue. He is familiar with many of the vendors in the Chicago area and made it very easy to communicate with them. Shaun was also excellent as he was able to make suggestions about which vendors best suited our needs and helped tailor our selections to what we envisioned for the big day. He quickly became the point person when it came to contacting our wedding vendors and was on top of every little detail. Shaun made sure to plan for all possible scenarios that could happen the day of our wedding to ensure that there would be backup plans in case something went awry. Meeting Shaun and working with Shaun was literally like hitting the biggest jackpot/lottery of a lifetime. I met Shaun when my now husband and I went to go tour the Langham hotel as a potential venue. We knew we had to book the Langham not only because it was a beautiful venue but because we know a valuable person when we see one, and that valuable person was Shaun Rajah.
It was Shaun who helped me make a lot of wedding decisions, and Shaun was the very reason why my wedding went smoothly and flawlessly as it did. He is detailed oriented, well experienced, and his hospitality is unmatched. With his long long years of experience in the wedding planning industry, he has unlimited resources to almost every vendor in Chicago. He's in the wedding magazines, well deserved. Choosing vendors for my wedding was as easy as breathing. He does his best to even negotiate with the vendors to get his clients a bit of a discount 🙂 He thinks ahead and prioritizes establishing a safe and friendly relationship with his clients first. His love for his clients and his desire for their happiness is priority and that priority is evident in how intricately he approaches people. A personal story is that he also helped me put out a fire with a vendor that I almost took to court. This is how much you can be confident that he will be in your corner from beginning til the absolute end. He held my hand through this crazy wedding planning process. He watched me and comforted me even when I was emotionally in shambles and went all bridezilla. In order for me to fully describe my appreciation and respect for Shaun will require me to write out a novel. But I will make sure I conclude with this simple note. Shaun is perfect, and if anyone wants their wedding to be flawless and perfect and stress-free, Shaun is your guy. He will never ever disappoint you. Shaun, we love you.
