Last weekend, I attended my nephews wedding and reception at The Homestead. "Absolutely Beautiful" place. We loved the rustic western look. We really enjoyed the fact that it's large enough for both the wedding and the reception for 200+ people. I would recommend this place to anyone for more than just weddings. The only downside is not enough outside lighting, especially the parking area. And maybe a couple more rest rooms.

We had the best experience having my daughter’s wedding here. The venue is perfect. Bob and Sandy are the best to work with. They are very accommodating. You get so much time to decorate and make it magical. Not to mention you don’t have to tear it down the same night. We came back the next day to get all our belongings. Highly recommend this venue!

The Homestead was an AWESOME venue! Loved our experience. We did not have to have a specific caterer or alcohol caterer, which means we were able to save money but still have the day of our dreams. We had lots of time at the venue to set up, there are so many decor items at the venue for the couple's use as well. The power went out unexpectedly in Menard County on our day and Sandy and Bob brought over their personal vehicle so we could keep dancing. They were very accommodating and allowed us to keep food in the cooler for one extra night until we could find some extra coolers to keep things cold.

I'd recommend anyone to use the homestead as their venue. During COVID we were given lots of options to change dates or cancel our contract because of all the mess that happened. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

My dream wedding would not have been possible with Bob and Sandys beautiful venue! It helped make my rustic vision come true. Everyone thought it was such a beautiful place! The place is HUGE! With so much to offer! Bob and Sandy have been amazing the whole time they were dealing with me. If you are looking for an awesome venue, look no further! This is the place to book!

Bob and Sandy were absolutely amazing and helped make my wedding day perfect. Their venue is gorgeous and they went above and beyond to make sure that everything went well and we had exactly what we needed to make sure it went off without a hitch. Bob even surprised me and rehung the white drapery in the reception area that had been taken down the weekend prior to our wedding because he knew how much I loved it. The little details and the amount of hard work they put into our wedding was truly touching and I could not recommend them or their venue more. They helped make our wedding day one we will never forget and I can’t thank them enough.

Beautiful venue And great owners. They helped us out when the whole county lost power and allowed us to continue to stay at the venue. Was willing to go above and beyond on helping with the little , medium and big things to make our wedding less stressful. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a country/barn venue to host their wedding and reception.

If you are looking for a fantastic location to host any kind of party, wedding, or event, please check out The Homestead Reception Center! Bob and Sandra are the amazing couple who live here and run this venue. My Husband and I went out there two years before our wedding day and fell absolutely in love with the place and this couple. The love they have for this place is incredible and shows with their every addition. By the time our wedding rolled around the venue was 10x better in every way! We didn’t think we could fall more in love with the place and the people who run it but we were very wrong. Bob and Sandra do everything in their power to make all wedding planning so easy! They were there to answer any questions and concerns, provided plenty of advice, tips, and suggestions, and were hands on with our whole day and making it perfect. These two know exactly what they are doing and do it tremendously well. The Newman’s and The Homestead Reception Center will forever hold a sweet spot in our hearts and we only hope other people and couples will get to treasure this place in the future as well!
