This was our 6 year rafting with big creek and like always we loved it . Our guide was Andrew and I will have to at he was awesome for it being his first year out with big creek, he really knew his stuff. He was very friendly and made our trip well worth it. We will definitely be back next year and as long as he’s there he will now be our special request from this year forward. Thanks big creek y’all never disappoint us!!! We had a party of four but the three in our boat that joined along knew what they were doing so that made the trip extra fun for everyone!!! ❤️

My family went on the Upper Pigeon River whitewater rafting with Big Creek Expeditions and absolutely loved it. I have a life long fear of water; yet the safety training and knowledgeable, encouraging, staff helped me feel comfortable and we had an amazing experience. The river, mountains and wildlife were beautiful. We saw breathtaking vistas which are not visible from shore.
The front desk staff were informative and efficient. We received clear instructions before, during and after our trip from the guides who worked well together to help each other and everyone on the trip. The equipment was all in excellent condition. Our guide, Matti, helped us into the boat and gave clear instruction on how to position to stay safe and comfortable. Matti was very knowledgeable and fun - sharing informative, interesting tidbits, and fun stories about the river, mountains, trees, wildlife, rocks, and history. Matti truly made this a fantastic day!
The facilities included a very nice store, restrooms, showers, changing rooms, barns with equipment, lots of picnic tables, food trucks, and buses were all very nice. When we were leaving a band was setting up on the front porch of the store. I highly recommend this company.

Incredible time AGAIN! Such a beautiful location. We rafted a couple of times. Jason Michael Webb and Gilly took us down the river on 2 different trips. These 2 are awesome! They are both SO knowledgeable about the river and the entire area. I had the time of my life and learned so much. I cannot wait to come back next year!!!!

Such as awesome company! Although we were not able to use them for our whitewater trip recently due to Hurricane Helene taking out their put in spot. Deborah went out of her way to get us hooked up with another place to make this trip happen for my family! A+ service, you don’t find that very often at many places!

We took a Scouting Troop to raft with Big Creek and we were not disappointed! While we had two boats of Scouts, they made sure we could interact with each other when possible to enjoy our trip together. We first did the lower section to enjoy the scenery and prepare everyone for the upper section. This gave our kids time to get accustomed to the raft and commands needed. Got their feet wet so to speak.

When we tackled the rapids of the upper river, we were not only ready and prepared, but excited to conquer this as well. Andrew was our guide on both sections and was phenomenal! He made certain to entertain, engage, and provide talking points along the trip. He gots jokes y'all, He made sure our safety was always at the top of his priorities. We traversed several class III and IV rapids with his commands and felt exhilarated with pride of accomplishment with these young men. The Troop is already talking up another trip

I will highly recommend Big Creek for your Smokies White Water Adventures. They were amazing!

This was our first time doing white water rafting and absolutely loved it. We had Jason as our guide and he was amazing. He made sure everyone was having a fun time and was relaxed. Definitely recommend and will be visiting here on future trips.

Took our group of 8 rafting today and had a great time. Our guide, Judd, was fun and knowledgeable. We felt very safe and were able to have our own big raft for our group.

Some tips:
- No need to arrive earlier than your scheduled time.
- The gift shop sells some essentials if you forget a towel, water shoes, etc.
- There is an area with food trucks next to the rafting area with all kinds of meals and snacks, including gluten free and vegan options.

Best rafting experience ever!!! We loved our guide, Gilly, so much!! She was such a hoot. She was very skilled at what she does. We wouldn’t want to go down the river with anyone else. She made the whole trip a blast! 10/10 definitely recommend Miss Gilly and Big Creek expeditions as our go to rafting!!!
