Absolutely a great campground. Large sites very well maintained. Dump is two sided with dumpsters for your trash.

Unfortunately the pads are not level. Back to front is particularly difficult to get level. But overall, really nice sites.

Definitely one of the best value campsites we've had on our three month trip!

If the unleashed dogs and barking all night wasn't bad enough, the mine field of dog shit in the site was enough to call this a one star campground.
Then add the un-level sites, the untrimmed trees above the sites making it impossible for any trailer to back in without getting marred up.
Wish I would have had the 3 star experience. Just bad luck I suppose.

This is a beautiful campsite. The view of the lake is magnificent. There was plenty of space between the sites with lots of green space. There was a picnic table, fire pit & grill and the site was nice and level. Was dog and kid friendly - Kids rode bikes throughout the park. Saw lots of deer, turkey with her babies, fireflies, turtle and even a skunk. Beautiful breeze through the park made for a wonderful stay. We will definitely return. It was just amazing. Don’t miss the beach either while you are here

We have RVed at Gun Creek several times. We appreciate that they have several full hook ups with a lake view. We get excellent dish reception, too. Lots of nice walking places. Clean bathrooms but no laundry on site. The host was very pleasant and the rangers make several inspection rounds every day. We will go again.

This is not a hotel. It's a campground. It is mostly shady with some sites on the lake. All sites have at least electric hookups. Bathrooms are individual toilet/sink/shower rooms. Clean. The negative to this campground is that many sites are not level, so you'll need several leveling blocks. The campground hosts are very nice. Location is very convenient and not too far off the interstate.

First of all.. that reference picture you see is pretty, but only a select few sites offer this type of view. During the week, when school is in session, 90% seniors populate this facility. You need to book way in advance. Some sites are Electric only, and some are "full facility"... and the sites are mostly back in sites. I believe I saw 3 pull through Sites.||Sites with no lake exposure are pretty flat. If you are lucky to get a lake view site, you have a decline pitch going down to the lake, and some travel trailers have their tongue all the way to the pavement. Bring plenty of good blocking/chocks if you get one. We made the mistake to get a site with a neighboring site 4 feet behind us. We basically watched the neighbors the whole week from our door side of the camper. Picnic tables are concrete, and some are just placed in stupid locations. Same goes for the Fire rings. I believe some sites are not designed with the camper in mind. Shower facility is 10 years old, and very nice. the Parking at the shower facility is abused with visitors, and you might not get a parking spot to bring the family to shower.|I cannot comment on campers in general. Your going to find problems no matter where you go with some campers, and their demeaner.|We stopped going on the weekends, since their is no availability when school is out for the season.|This is a fishing / boat / recreation magnet area. Huge boat parking, but guys still park their boat next to their campers, and it takes away from the nature experience.| I did not see a ranger, but if he shows, its in a typical white pickup.

GREAT location. Easy to find sites. VERY clean! Bathrooms are ok, but the only complaint I have is they are unbearably hot! Felt like i was in a suna brushing my teeth. We tent camped so we had to use the bathrooms. Thankfully, we were close to the big bathroom bc the smaller ones were very IFY the lighting wasn't good. There was a nice playground for the kids. Great views of the water even if ur not camping next to it. Very clean park. Quite! Wildlife is definitely there. Full hookups are available. We came in late and had no problem getting the site I registered for online. One of the nights we stayed, the ranger did check in on our neighbors that came in last minute to see if they paid. It was a little annoying bc the ranger had the car running with lights on in our tent late at night. Other than that, it was a great stay.
