Don't do business with this company. They don't pay invoices for months and months. Not just me, I have heard of other companies having similar problems. After I stopped providing services due to non-payment they have refused to pay the outstanding invoices.

Either you'll love it here or hate it. Possibly both. Most of the people are very chill (to a fault at times) which, given the nature of the work, that should come as no surprise. Some of the working conditions were not safe or healthy when I started working there, though many of these issues were resolved or were being addressed by the time I'd left. I can't really go into detail though, as one does have to sign a NDA when starting out.

I can guarantee that the first few days/weeks, you'll be mopping floors and doing everything that doesn't involve handling or being around the product until your state issued cultivator badge comes in. Depending on what department you go to, it'll either be cake, tough but rewarding, or like high school all over again. Drama permeates the place like mad, so it's best to keep your head down and don't get wrapped up in any of it if possible. Security is cool so long as you are; if you end up beefing with any of them, it's your own fault (likely for being a jack@$$ or drama queen. No one likes working with a jack@$$, no one wants to be friends with a drama queen. Be neither of these and you should be golden with everyone.)

Turnover rate is almost comical, and not a week goes by that someone doesn't get removed by security for trying to smuggle out any plant matter. Yes, even in a place that has more cameras than employees, people are still dumb enough to try doing that. Don't. It isn't worth it. Pipes, pens, and various paraphernalia have been found in the facility and service delivery vans, and since this is a building full of stoners, don't be shocked if a coworker seems like they're high on something besides life.

Lunch was shorter than I would have liked, as half an hour is barely enough time to grab your food and scarf it down, should you choose to go into town. I'd recommend bringing lunch. They have plenty of microwaves and seats in the break shack, with a separate smoking section (tobacco only; bad times await those who smoke other things on the premises and gets caught by either the upper staff or a random checkup from the Albion police.) As far as pay goes, it's $15/hr starting (as of writing this post) for the base positions, with supervisors and management on salary. Salary here does mean you'll be working ridiculous hours at times, and logging 50+ a week is not that uncommon.

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to give any aspiring cultivators an idea of what to expect here.

I too must insist on nothing but positivity as a review. After 17 years around this industry I am ecstatic that its finally making progress as a whole. I would like to thank ataraxia and affiliates for what they do. It may not be 30$/hr but they do provide employment in a state that needs it severely. After 3 years of study and practice I've found that this plant when grown is easy to grow but more difficult to deliver maximum potency in large commercial quantities. I applaud their efforts and say keep up the amazing work. The organization it takes to upkeep the environment alone is respected. It's a hard task to put ones put in this industry with so many opposing political agencies yet despite that they made it happen. Ataraxia you have my support and thank you again for the hard work.

Not great. It's like they are still trying to figure out how to grow this plant. Why is all of your flower so dry? Why can't you keep up with demand. It isn't like rec. cannabis just happened overnight. Were you caught with your pants down? Maybe it's time to limit yourselves to one dab per day; and maybe turn the local news on, while you are at it. No more wake and bakes. Seriously, fire your entire team, and hire somebody who has actually grown some buds in their life.
