Every person you talk with, does not have any answers to your questions. They tell you to wait 7 days and call again. My family member has worked for this union, 20 years, suffered a massive stroke, and has to wait for months, before they send him a disability check. And now his renewal of benefits, is in review for over 2 months. This organization doesn't want to take care of its workers. And the bills keep piling up.

My father was a union worker who received his benefits through them and they have been outstanding! My father passed away and the transition for my mom to maintain her widow's benefits was seamless. Whenever we have a question, they answer quickly. When we have had billing issues with medical institutions, they have given us clear instructions as to how to communicate with the medical billers. Truly a blessing for my mom.

Terrible service at this company, they make you go through hoops for simple things. The people here are a bit slow in the head, sorry to say but it’s true. Would never recommend dealing with them.

I have been in construction for over 30 years. I recently transferred membership and am now here at Chicago and Vicinity Laborers. They have ALL been SO very helpful, extremely patient, kind and respectful. They call you back! After spending a great amount of time finding a resolution. They are also accommodating when I go inside. I actually brought my documents to them and they made the copies and let me take my originals back that day. It was a little messy with getting reciprocities in order & getting my hours transferred back but they worked diligently to get everything corrected. They never made it "my problem" and they were very sincere and helped figure out what was needing attention and how to fix it. Very, very grateful for the kind ladies here!!! Thank you!

I don’t understand why this place asks for original documents (birth certificate and marriage certificate) when people don’t handle them with care. I sent in my birth certificates in good condition and this place sent it back completely ripped in half with some tape over it. If you are gonna request original documents, handle them properly.
