Where do I start? My husband and I met Jen back in 2016 to capture our first wedding at Marvin's Pass...This woman is wonder woman!! She goes above and beyond what you ask or desire (her whole family does). She is the most selfless venue owner I have met. They are some of the sweetest people you will meet as well. She is constantly doing whatever it takes to make your day as special as can be. I love this venue! There are so many beautiful areas to take photos at! I have never had a venue owner call me and coordinate with me for the wedding day until I met Jen. She always has a plan and a schedule for the day! You will not be disappointed at Marvin's Pass! It's a gorgeous venue to have your special day at!

I had the pleasure to work with Jennifer December 2024 at a veteran benefit dinner. She was very pleasant and explained her intensions while setting up the building very well.
After the event, we had great communication with some items that were left at the venue, she went out of her way to take care of it.
Overall, i feel she genuinely cares to make every event the best it can be. Thanks Jennifer!

Coming from a bridesmaid- Wedding planner is unprofessional and unorganized. Wouldn’t recommend. Photographer was great, food was great, music was great. However, it was cold and they refused to put the sides down on the tents to make guests as warm as possible.

My experience with Jen Robinson (owner of venue) started off great. She was very responsive. She outlined all the details of the venue. I was upfront with her that I wanted very little burden out on me, my now husband and our families. We booked our date for October of 2024 in February of 2024. Her and I communicated often from Feb - June 2024. However, late July/early August I reached out to Jen because we had finalized our guest list and sent it to her due to timelines she had set for us to meet as we had her contracted to create and send out our invites. I never heard anything. It wasn’t until I threatened to not make our next monthly payment due to the lack of communication that she decided to respond. At this point it was mid August and I still had not heard anything about invitations going out nor had any of my guests received one. On 8/28 I sent a email asking for an update on several items including invitations, our catering, our officiant, and our DJ. All things that had NOT been finalized with less than 60 days until our wedding day. Another 2 weeks go by and no RSVPs, so I reached out again on 9/4 about no one receiving an invite. She then tried to blame USPS stating that once they mail them it’s out of her hands, but she sent out the invitations yet again stating that she wasn’t going to charge me for them. Not even 48 hours later and guests were receiving invites. Then the information on the invitations was incorrect. She put the wrong time on them. We also had to push the RSVP date back to 10/1… 12 days before our wedding.

In this midst of the invitation fiasco, decorations were being discussed. We were shown lots of options by Jen, and so we told her what we wanted/needed for our wedding. She told us she would get us a quote asap. It took 4 weeks to get that quote. Half of what we actually needed wasn’t even on the quote, which was $1300. When we told Jen we didn’t want to use her decor and that we would do it all ourselves her whole attitude towards us changed.

The other part that Jen is not up front about is who she works with. The officiant is her daughter. The DJ is her other daughter. The bartender is another daughter of hers, who is very flirty and even flirted with my husband (the groom!) and made him and several other guests uncomfortable.

The last part was the rehearsal and ceremony. We arrived early for our rehearsal since we had all of our decorations and we wanted everyone to be there on time. They would NOT let us onto the property until 30 minutes prior to our rehearsal time stating that they “weren’t open”. There is no signage stating an open/closed time. And we were the only ones there. The rehearsal was sloppy and not put together well. While everything was mostly set up the way we wanted, none of the fairy lights were turned on. My family had to turn them on. There was also a guest that needed to use the bathroom before the ceremony and because I was standing in the barn which is where the ONLY bathrooms are, Jen would not let them in and sent them down the road to a gas station. It was a very windy night, and we asked for microphones during the ceremony and they refused to give them because of the wind. Due to it being windy, we asked that the sides of the reception tent be put up because our guests were cold. They refused to put any sides up unless it started raining. There were no plates or silverware on the reception tables like we were told there would be AND cheap clear square plates were used instead of the round off white ones we were shown. With it being windy and the catering not being under a tent or in the barn, our food was all cold by the time we got to eat it. Our cake had not been moved to the barn, so it was not eaten by guests. The “unlimited” tea and lemonade is not unlimited. Once they felt that we had had enough they quit making it and only offered water.

While things turned out good and my husband and I are happy, we would not recommend Marvin’s Pass to anyone. The venue’s beauty is not worth the lack of service.

Five stars is not enough to give Marvin’s Pass!! I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Jen, her crew & the venue (stunning)! They were so incredible and made my daughters wedding last night so magical and completely stress free for us. From the beginning of the wedding planning process, all the way up to last night, they have done everything to eliminate any and all stress from the process for us which truly allowed us to enjoy every minute of this day! They gave us so many options and allowed any personal touches we want, and everything turned out gorgeous!!! They literally took care of everything and we were gracious, kind & helpful. I will recommend them to anyone looking for an event venue. Thank you again, Jen for everything! It was perfect!!!!

I ordered a gift basket from Marvins Pass for finals week for my daughter who goes to Butler. The gift basket was amazing and my daughter loved every bit of it. It was full of items that she will enjoy! And Jen went above and beyond communicating with me every step of the way. She even sent me a picture of my daughter with the gift basket when she delivered it. My daughter is 5 hours from home, so it really meant the world to me to receive that pic. Thanks again Jen! Looking forward to the next opportunity to order!

OMG! I cannot say enough about Marvin's Pass! We had our wedding there last night and it was INCREDIBLE! Jen and her team were so attentive to our every want and need and so much fun! Everything was perfect! We booked back in April and Jen has been kind from the start! The grounds were beautiful, she did so much of the set up and it was just gorgeous! The entire night flowed perfectly! The price is just right as well! Most of it is all inclusive so you don't have to worry about a ton of different things! They even do the clean up for you! When I say it could not have been any better, I truly mean that! Thank you so much!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Marvin's Pass, Jen, and her team. As a maid of honor in a wedding on 10/3, it was such a relief to have Jen taking charge and care of every detail of our afternoon. She was attentive, knowledgeable but flexible when we needed a change or 2. She made sure she or her team handled any issue that came up so that the new Mr. & Mrs. never knew there was an issue and enjoyed every minute of their day. I'm sure you can see from the pictures, the venue is gorgeous....especially at night with the lights! Thanks to ALL who made the day so perfect!!!!!
