We truly could not be happier with our decision to hold our wedding reception at The Reverie! The space feels like a private oasis in downtown Asheville. It is such a unique venue and Abby has built the space up to be beautiful and tasteful. Working with Abby and her team was absolutely seamless. Abby was so kind and helpful during the planning process. Many of our guests have made a point of telling us how wonderful Abby and her team were during the evening! We had the Reverie prepare the food, florals, and decor and it was all done perfectly. We are so grateful to have found The Reverie and Abby!

The best decision we made through the entire wedding process was to choose The Reverie. After meeting with Abby Wallace, the venue's owner, we knew this was the spot for us. Abby was willing to do as much or as little to support our event. As the mother of the bride, I am so pleased and relieved that we had Abby and her staff manage all the aspects of the reception: food, flowers, beer and wine, decor options, table arrangements...Additionally, with Abby's hospitality experience, she was able to keep the party on track through the sparkler exit. The evening was magic.

Ohhh where do I even begin?! Abby & her team at Reverie are AMAZING, book them. We picked Reverie events SOLELY on the reviews that Abby had (& pics of the courtyard filled with twinkle lights, of course). It seemed that everyone had a great experience with her and me being an anxious bride, I really needed someone to guide me. BEST DECISION EVER. Abby is absolutely wonderful and I adore her. She's professional, organized, funny, & really takes care of you. This extends to the whole Reverie team. They work well together and are so very sweet to be around!

The biggest PRO for Reverie is that so much is offered in house. The only vendor we had to choose was photography (we went with Chris at Squirrels Nest Events and he's AMAZING too!) Food, drinks, floral, decor - all available in house. There's also an in house AV system run by Lauren so we chose not to have a DJ and that was perfectly fine. Since I was so anxious, I was thankful that I didn't have to coordinate lots of vendors. I also gave Abby a few inspo pics but then told her to have fun 🙂 We weren't very picky and she took the few pics I sent and went above and beyond! Everything was BEAUTIFUL! I was super laid back about the flowers and decor, but I'm sure that if you have very specific preferences, Abby would be able to accommodate. Reverie also had tarps and clear umbrellas for when it rained (which it did), & outdoor heaters which were so nice!

Now let's talk food - Reverie offers an extensive menu prepared by head Chef Ariel and it's DIVINE. It's sooooo good and everyone raved about it. We had a guest with a severe sesame seed, nut, & sunflower seed allergy, & the entire menu and venue was free of those things. They also accommodated our guest with a gluten allergy. The grazing table was beautifully done. Also, the leftover food is donated to a local shelter/soup kitchen to reduce waste!! That was a huge bonus for us given that we were having a buffet. Also, Chef Ariel is such a cute human, we love her 😊

We were up front with Abby about our budget and she worked with us to accommodate it as best she could. She paid attention to the things we wanted & helped us figure out what we could cut out & what we should splurge on. At the end of the day, we spent about 2k more than what we had initially planned, but none of the costs were a surprise - Abby gave all the numbers up front and modified them regularly as needed. We had no qualms with that.

I honestly had the best day and I'm so so thankful and grateful for that. I had so much anxiety about being the center of attention and Abby understood that and helped come up with ways to minimize that. For example, she suggested we do private vows beforehand, no announcement for re-entrance, & sitting with our guests instead of a head table. She made the day go smoothly & we couldn't have asked for anything better.

Honorable Mentions:
- The one thing I cared about was having a specialty cocktail and a cat themed bar. We came up with drink names and Abby made the signs. Lauren went to Michael's and bought cats to add to the decor 😸
- I showed up to the venue and said 'Abby, I'm hungry and anxious' & she said 'You want a drink? A Nora's Nuptial Nog? I'll also ask chef to make you a snack' 🙂 out comes a drink and a beautiful mini charcuterie just for me 🙂
- Chef Ariel also works at Chai Pani which worked out nicely because I wanted chai for our guests to drink during the ceremony! She helped coordinate that
- We decided in July 2023 that we'd like to get married in fall 2023 and were able to get married at the end of October on a date that the venue still had available. The team helped get this thing together in ~4 months and it was easy peasy!
- Reverie is a hidden GEM in the heart of downtown - great location

If I could give Abby and Reverie Events a hundred stars I would! Abby was such an amazing coordinator and planner for our reception that her skill, professionalism, and creativity were the talk of our friends and family for months after. From the first moment we met, Abby clearly understood our vision and exactly what we wanted, and she was so communicative and professional in executing our dream. More importantly, when our wedding day was met with a torrential, 12-hour rain storm, Abby was there to manage the pivot to a new location and could not have done a better job managing everyone and everything and making the ceremony even more beautiful than it would have been without the rain.

All of the decor for our reception was done by Abby and her team, and it's 90% part of their in-house suite of decor. She's a genius.

I wish I had more big events to celebrate so that I could hire Abby again and again!

The Reverie was absolutely perfect! If you're looking for an intimate location right in the heart of Asheville this is the place for you! The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Abby and Lauren did an incredible job with the decor, managing the flow of the evening and ensuring the bride and groom were well taken care of. Ariel and bar staff had food and drinks flowing through out the night. The drinks we're delightful and we still have guests talking about our late night empanadas!

Our intimate wedding and reception at Reverie was an absolute dream! Abby and her team (shoutout to Lauren and Chef Ariel, especially) are the most kind and professional humans. They made us feel so cared for during the entire planning process, and we felt that they were our partners in celebrating this milestone in our relationship!

We were anxious to plan our wedding while living 3+ hours away from Asheville, but Reverie's all-inclusive venue made planning a breeze, and Abby as our coordinator helped make everything run smoothly. There was rain forecasted during our ceremony, and through their team's calmness under pressure, we were able to make adjustments to avoid the sprinkles! They communicated with us throughout the evening while letting us soak up all the joy of the day, and kept our drink glasses and bellies full. Our parents raved about how thoughtful Abby and her team were after they thanked each of our parents and wished them goodnight at the end of the evening! What's more is their attention to detail! We had inspiration pictures selected for our florals and other decor, and Reverie brought our vision to life better than we could have imagined. We were even able to re-purpose our ceremony florals as a backdrop during our plated dinner.

When I look back and think about my wedding day, it truly feels like a dream. Everything was perfect including having our reception at Reverie! My husband and I are from Wisconsin, but fell in love with Asheville a few years prior to getting engaged. When we decided to have a smaller destination wedding we knew Asheville would be the place.

I found Reverie by chance via Instagram and once I saw that STUNNING courtyard I knew it was the place before even clicking the website. We had 50 people total and the space was absolutely perfect. I loved having a wedding venue that only held 65 people because the space felt completely full yet not packed. It is so unique being in the heart of downtown yet tucked away from the city streets.

Abby and her staff were absolutely amazing to work with. They were so prompt to answer any questions I had leading up to the day, sending videos, maps of different seating charts and phone calls if we needed to explain detail. The day of, they exceeded my expectations. If anything went wrong I would have no idea because they ran this venue so professional but so welcoming and warm as well.

My friends and family had only good things to say about the food and drinks. It's not every day you go to a wedding and love the food but that was the case at Reverie. Plus, Abby had not only standard house red and white wine, the package I purchased had a rose, sparkling rose, prosesso, and different reds and whites that I could choose from. She also had craft beers on tap not just 2 standard beers to choose from. Cheers to not feeling sick from 5 dollar wine!

This venue is so customizable and Abby is there every step of the way to make sure you feel that you are getting the exact day you invision. You would be missing out if you did not have your big day here! <3
