I had a very nice and relaxing stay at this Marriott hotel. It was just my husband and I. I am not too familiar with Chicago but hotels around the venue we were going to attend did not have the best reviews, I don’t believe the area was safe, and one had reported bed bugs so we chose this one because while it was a half hour away from the event, it had good reviews and located in what’s supposed to be a nice and safe area. It certainly was. The staff at the desk, housekeeping, Starbucks employee, bartenders/servers at Ciazza grill, everyone was so hospitable. Especially Michelle (I believe her name is) at the front desk. Always greeted us with a smile and was so nice. She was the only desk staff we encountered throughout our stay until check-out it was Jason who was also very nice. There is a fridge in the room, but no microwave which was OK with us since we didn’t need it. We chose the wine and dine package, which was kind of a deal except for being in Chicago. We ended up wanting to eat from some really good restaurants we saw in the city so we ended up losing out on one of the $50 vouchers and breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

The moment we checked in, everything was amazing. |The front desk was helpful and welcoming. Can't wait for our next stay. Our room was comfortable. The food is amazing, pool is very nice and so is the fitness center. Next visit will be with our kids.

Clean hotel, plenty of parking. I was upgraded which was appreciated. There is a lounge for elites but only open during the weekdays. One morning there were pancakes and the other mornings it was just eggs and fruit. |The biggest issue I had was with their wifi. Traveling for business I needed WiFi and even though I had the enhanced internet, my wifi dropped several times. I would be reaching Netflix and the TV would buffer and reset constantly. Probably 10-25 times on a two night stay. Talked to a woman at the front desk who said their wifi is always an issue. So keep that in mind when you book as it was very frustrating especially trying to zoom for work.

Amazing experience.. had reserved bunch of rooms for an event and everyone were happy with the experience. Amazing lobby and banquet hall for hosting any event of size close to 200.. hotel staff was exceptional..

The place is nice, location is good if you need to be in that area. I was a little disappointed as a Marriott that they were missing things I had always received at others. Staff was friendly, restaurant was good, food was delicious. The room was a little lack luster, little older, bed uncomfortable, lighting very dark and they were charging 6 dollars for a bottle of water? Normally most Marriotts you get the water for free? Other than that the room was clean. I will reiterate that the staff was super friendly and helpful.

Generally, when I am in Chicago, I will stay downtown; however, a conference brought me to Chicago Marriott Southwest at Burr Ridge and my stay was a pleasant surprise. Everyone was so kind and inviting. I can’t wait to come back the next time I visit Chicago. Thank you for a great stay!

I am beyond frustrated with the behavior of this hotel. We booked a single night for an event being held there, but were shockingly charged for three nights, along with charges for the restaurant, bar, and gift shop.

When I called to inquire, I was told it was just a deposit, and the amount was higher because it was a weekend event. I was assured there were no issues, and that the deposit would be refunded. We waited, but instead, the charge went through.

I called again, and the representative argued that we had stayed for three nights and used all those services. I explained that we were not even in the state when those charges were made. I requested an itemized receipt, and the hotel promised to verify whether we had actually been there for three days and get back to me. Of course, no receipt was ever sent, and no one followed up.

Later, we learned from the event organizer that many others were overcharged in the same way, and that Marriott claimed it was a "system error" they were working to fix.

Incredible. They knew there was a widespread issue, yet they still denied it and argued with me.

This isn’t just bad customer service—it’s a complete lack of basic decency.
