So I was passing though from Ohio to Nashville TN due to this was a place i was thinking about starting a business at. so I went there to eat for lunch and dinner of course i had to ask questions. first the food was good they are wonderful with people that work there but i have to disagree on the warrants check before entering the shelter due to a misdemeanor warrant they will not come back for due to most states have a 30 day hold on expedition back to that state so they will not want to waist resources to come to get you for a time serve. so that is a something that its should not be done... now felons warrants would come back and they will come to get you anywhere in any state so that is something that should be check... please note if someone needs help they should be able to received that help. that why you get grants from the state.

Good place to stay if you have nowhere else to go. You have 30 days here. Beds are okay and you dont have much drama. Residents are allowed outside between 7am-11pm and non residents can come in for meals (breakfast 8:30-9:30 lunch 11:30-12:30 and dinner 5:30-6:30) you can check in at anytime 24hrs a day. Would recommend callibg ahead of time to make sure a bed is available. Males and females are seperated unless married.

Very run down building; very short-tempered staff; but they do provide 3 meals a day 4 the less fortunate, clothes, sometimes financial assistance, & it's a homeless shelter & transitional housing. They do good things for the community.

They help the HOMELESS OUT... THEY WILL LET STAY 30 DAYS IF U NEED, BUT U WILL HAVE ROOMMATES AND CHORES TO DO EVERYDAY.THEY R VERY VERY VERY STRAIGHT BY THE BOOK HERE. They feed 3 meals a day to n e body resident or not. Breakfast is 8:30am 2 9:30am. Lunch is from 11:30am 2 12:30pm. And dinner is a@ 5:30pm 2 6:30pm. All 3 meals r 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a years. They r everyday even on weekends times r the same. No outside drinks or food is allowed to b in the building at all... And if u r a resident or thinking about becoming a resident you will have a 11:00pm curfew everyday of the week and weekends. The only way u can bypass that is in that u have a job or you were in the hospital, but whatever excuses you may have the have to add up an make sents. Because they will do there homework and want to see black and white(Paper Work). And ALSO there is a absolutely and I mean absolutely a no smoking cigarettes policy or n e thing else inside that building... There is also 2 different programs here. One is in the 2nd level up stairs that is long term housing and the other one is a 30 day at a time homeless shelter. You will only be allowed to stay 30 days then you have to have stayed some where else for 30 days(regardless it could be 1 spot or or 10 different spots you will have stayed at, until they will or want to help u out again and let you stay another 30 day. You are only allowed to stay there a total of 6 months out of the year. The do have a working phone to call n e where as long as it is local. And you are able to use that address of the Good Samaritan House to receive mail at also if u r homeless or whatever reason... Well that is about all I can think of at the moment...
