My family and I visited the power house and visitor's center on the way to the grand canyon and enjoyed ourselves.

It was a nice stop for everyone to stretch their legs and walk around.

The museum had a lot of things to look and really appreciated all the local people we learned about.

The people managing the visitor's center was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of nice suggestions for what we should check out on our route.

The kids also loved doing the activity book that she gave them and loved filling out their route 66 passports.

Nice place to learn about Route 66 and Kingman AZ. It’s simple needs some updating in my opinion, there seems to be renovations going on. 10 dollar general admission 6 for seniors. Overall a great visit . The photo pops are great . The electric car portion was a plus I enjoyed it. Very much. Across the way you check out other stuff too the whole block really.

Aweful museum. Please dont waste your time and money. How can it be a route 66 museum with a few electric cars on display. Rt 66 was built on gas vehicles. Such a absolute disappointment.

Neat place, the route 66 museum upstairs is wonderfull. Nice representation of dust bowl history. Also interesting display on a local photographer who helped make the area famous with his images. The price for entry to the museum is worth it because you also get the electric car museum, and the Mohave museum down the road, along with one other. All four 4 dollars.

This Route 66 Museum and Visitor Center is located in Kingmans Historic District. It takes you on a journey of the development and travel on what is referred to as the "Mother Road." A unique experience in the lives and hardships of the everyday pioneers and settlers who traveled this route in the search of a dream and a better life. A wonderful part of history told by stories, photographs and memrobilia...a must see!

The Route 66 Museum in Kingman, Arizona is located Andy Devine Avenue and shares space with the Kingman Visitor Centre in the historic Powerhouse building. Open hours are 9am to 5pm daily and entrance is $4 per adult, $3 per senior and free for those under 12 years of age.

The entrance to the museum upstairs in the Powerhouse. Here you find 30-45 minutes worth of time exploring the chronological path of America's Westward expansion and travel. There is interesting text information, maps, signs, posters and other artefacts related to travel which passed through this area of the country.

We enjoyed the vehicle displays including a Schooner Wagon a Great Depression era pick-up truck and a 50s period family automobile. Downstairs, just before you exit the museum, there is a collection of electric powered vehicles which are really neat to look over as well.

Overall, the Historic Route 66 Museum is a nice place to spend some time if you intend to visit some of the attractions in Kingman, Arizona. We'd be happy to stop here again.

This is an old historic building in Kingman the powerhouse. There's a nice museum upstairs and a good gift shop on the first floor but don't forget to go across the street to see the train. The staff that works here is very friendly and knowledgeable.
