Stopped to buy minutes for my husband's phone. We've used this service for years and have never had many problems with it. BUT I was told I couldn't purchase any other items with the minutes and that I had to buy at least $20 worth instead of the $10 that I wanted, even though the card says a minimum of 10. I've never had these problems before or since. The very next day, I went to a different dollar general and was able to get the minutes while purchasing other items.

The sales associates are very friendly however one of the managers is often quite rude and hateful. The store itself is nice just needs better people in charge.
Edit: They have new management and the store is now running amazingly. I love all of the workers and it's a grate experience every time I go in.

I like to get my cleaning supplies here. They have great deals and a good seasonal section. The aisles are snug for wheelchairs. I haven't ever found anything out of date or stale here. If your just starting out, this is a great place to get your kitchen supplies and tools and your bathroom and laundry room necessities.

Well stocked with a wide variety of items. Friendly staff. My kids needed a bathroom break, but the bathroom wasn't easily accessible. An employee was helpful in pointing us where to go.

Store is absolutely dirty and the general manager treats her employees and customers horribly.

If you call in a complaint to corporate about her, she tracks you down in Winchester and screams at you for doing that. (Even to 80+ yr old women) Many people in winchester have nick-named her the "Most hated woman of Winchester".

Her store has the HIGHEST turn-around in the state for Dollar General.

Fire safety violations and such to boot! Many people in Winchester have just simply stopped shopping at DG in Winchester and said that they wont return until she is gone.

The cashier Brittney seems cool though. Dont know why she stays and puts up with that General Manager.

Wish they would mop the floors or maybe replace the extremely nasty dirty looking floor tiles.

Cant walk down isles or even get the items you came in for because of metal cages blocking everything.

You would think that DG would care about their image; this store however, makes you think otherwise.

Its a sad and horrible place to go shop. Dont come here unless you absolutely have too. Their ac doesnt work either so its always about 85-95 degress in there.

IF you are really wanting to shop at a DG there is two others in Jacksonville and 1 that i know of in Pittsfield. Both are about a 30-35 minute drive BUT well worth it because you dont have to deal with the General Manager of the Winchester store.

Not much to say about Dollar General the management is poor they need to hire just stockers most Dollar General shelves are empty it doesn't matter how many you go to they are all the same empty shelves

Staff is great store is clean items always stocked sales are always great friendly and helpful easy to find what your looking for great variety of items all the items for self home and even your Pets can be found here at great prices too
