I’m a Diamond member of the IHG properties and used to stay at this property frequently (convenient location) until everything started going downhill. Internet was unreliable, room phone never worked. Housekeeping will know your door even if you have the DND sign. Because of what I do for a living sometimes I needed to check in either really late or really early and never they tried to accommodate my requests unless I paid the fees/extra night. The only staff member that really cared and helped me was Eddy. He always makes sure that my stay is somehow enjoyable. Seems that this property is out of business now and it doesn’t surprise me at all.

Traveled to Crowne Plaza Northbrook because my international flight departed at 6 am the next day. Arrived at the hotel @ 9 pm and needed to leave the hotel by 3am to catch my flight.

Upon arrival, call the hotel to request shuttle service. Was told there was no shuttle service due to staff callouts. The inclusion of suttle service was the reason I selected this location. I was forced pay for transportation to and from the hotel adding additional costs to my travel.

When there wasn't a staff member at the front desk or a sign stating, "Stepped away and will return shortly". Waited @ 15 minutes for the front desk person to return to the desk. The front desk person did offer an apology. Being tired and wanting to get sleep, went directly to my room.

The room was clean and descent. I was satisfied with the hotel room.

Departed at 3:15AM from the hotel. So didn't stay the entire length of the stay because I needed to catch my international flight. Called the manager and requested a return call and have not received any further communication. The lack of communication regarding the shuttle service and the lack of followup by the manager Terri Chohan really frustrated me.

The room and bathroom was very clean and adequate and met our needs. Bed was comfortable and all staff that we encountered were friendly. Housekeeping was requested and done timely. Breakfast was good.

Hotel lacks severe maintenance:

1)Both first elevators were broken. Lobby elevator had signs directing guests to use the elevator at the end of the hall, which was also inoperable.

2) Ice machine by our room was broken. We had to go to another floor (via stairs due to broken elevator) to get ice.

3) The self checkout kiosk in the marketplace was down. If you wanted something, you had to wait for the front desk clerk, oftentimes they were unavailable and had a sign out that they stepped away.

4) The restaurant and bar were both closed for the duration of our stay. Would not have stayed here had we known. Defeats the purpose of booking a full service hotel.

5) The side entrance door did not lock and require a key to unlock from the outside, despite it having a the mechanism to require the key and auto locking after closing. This was never fixed during the duration of our stay.

Overall, while there were some positives for the hotel, the negatives outweigh it due to their lack of attention to safety and maintenance.

This hotel has bed bugs. I was itching last night and had a feeling there were bugs here due to how I was feeling and a previous review, but I did not find any until this morning. I wanted to give them a chance, but clearly, this problem has not been addressed. This was found in my bed. When I lay my head somewhere to rest, I expect a certain standard of cleanliness and health to be met. I documented this information. When I spoke to the front desk and requested a full refund, they refused. It's one thing to make a mistake, but it's completely unacceptable not to correct it, and that is why this comment is being made because this mistake was not corrected. This now will have to be brought up to health departments, and we are considering a lawsuit due to this inconvenience, which could have gone differently if it had been treated with urgency and like an important matter. I asked to speak to management. Management did not come, simply disappointed in the way everything was handled.

what can i say, normally would not leave a review but the employee's at this motel are exceptionally incompetent. I do not know her position but this older Lady by the name of Teri told me "i got a good price on my room and to not expect much for what i paid" I only wanted a room where the A/c worked and a tub that drained. She told me next time book through the hotel and i would get a better room. There is no room service although advertised as a 4 star hotel, it is not! i stayed for 4 days, the next day a younger front desk associate was very polite, i explained my situation and she upgraded us to a room where everything worked as it should. Hopefully the Owners of this otherwise decent motel read the reviews from guest as i hate to say it as the area is accessible to my corporate office that i work in 4-5 times a month, After my horrible experience with Teri and the run down room i now stay at the Renaissance just up the road where you get a larger room in a much more luxurious hotel for roughly the same money.

I worked for an IHG hotel for a few years and it was always about the customer - but this location is anything but that.

I called in February 2025 to book for a night in March 2025. I called to confirm they offered a Park and Go as well as an Airport Shuttle. Both were offered.

In between the time I booked the hotel and I went to stay, the Airport Shuttle went out of commission and the amenity was removed, so Ive been told by 3 front desk staff and IHG support. I did not get an email, phone call or anything about this change. I booked this hotel SPECIFICALLY because they offered Park and Go and an Airport Shuttle.

When we arrived the front desk agent said we would have to eat the cost of an Uber - in my experience with IHG as an employee, we would go above and beyond to book a taxi for the guest if we could not provide a shuttle - yet the shuttle was parked outside in the parking lot. The next morning when we needed to leave, I asked the night desk agent the same question, he didnt speak enough English to understand me and just kept repeating Uber to me. So, I booked an Uber and left.

When I returned, my vehicle had been broken into, window smashed and $1,500 worth of belongings stollen from my vehicle. The hotel advised they had NO cameras facing any lots and apperently dont walk their lots to ensure their Park and Go visitors vehicles are okay. We left the vehicle for 4 nights and have no idea when the break in happened. When we called the police, they advised this is a common practice for hotels in that area so they arent liable to help when issues arrise.

Dont advertise a great Park and Go amenity if you do nothing to protect your guests utilizing it.

Outside of the shuttle and theft issue, the room was not noise proof at all, could hear all the showers around us turn on when used and our shower head was completely ripped from the wall and the pipe was shaking outside the hole when I tried to turn it on.

I would not recommend and will continue to tell this story to as many as I can. IHG support has been no help at all. I have been hung up on and transfered too many times to count.

Average 3Star Hotel. Good value for your buck but needs some TLC. The fitness room is missing many items barbells etc and the towels n cleaning supplies were lacking. The rooms are pretty good but again towels are like fools gold around this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful and there was a good restaurant/bar area for congregating. Lots of parking was a plus and the fact that it wasn’t an extra charge on top of the room rate. It was central to our needs and would recommend to others

We had a small maintenance issue that was fixed on the spot. Other than that overall good experience.
