Georgian Ostri (beef stew) was very good. Egg plant Ajapsandal was homey and Chkmeruli, chicken made in garlic gravy was unique and good (it comes with bread). Happy with their food for sure. Service is slow but the staff is kind. Some may not speak good English so you may need to be mindful of that. As for us this meant this place is run by immigrants and adds to the authentic experience.

Fun fact: The country of Georgia is known for being a cradle of wine. They have a page of menu dedicated to alcohol at this restaurant. Mind you there are two pages of menu.

The menu is a delightful journey through authentic Georgian cuisine. I tried the Khachapuri—a cheese-filled bread that was perfectly baked and incredibly satisfying—and the Khinkali, which were generously filled and bursting with flavor. Each dish was a testament to the rich culinary heritage of Georgia, crafted with fresh ingredients and a lot of love.

The service was impeccable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and more than happy to share insights about the dishes and the traditions behind them. Their genuine hospitality truly made the experience memorable.

Overall, this restaurant is a hidden gem in Buffalo Grove. Whether you’re a fan of Georgian cuisine or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend giving it a visit. The combination of exceptional food, cozy ambiance, and outstanding service makes it a must-try destination for any food lover.

Do not come on a Monday! Chef is a temp on that day. Appetizers are good but we had a pretty bad Beef and Lamb Shashlik. Owner ( after complaining) took off Beef Item from the check. Bread was not properly baked and came out moist!

Today I had lunch at the magnificent Kitchen House Café. I enjoyed a cappuccino, Hachi Puri, lamb, and bush. The service was outstanding, the place was impeccably clean, and the ambiance was truly worm and pleasing.

This hidden spot is full of surprises. Located right next to the famous European store/pharmacy, Fresh Farms, I often shop there but never knew about Kitchen House restaurant just around the corner. The restaurant offers authentic food in a cozy atmosphere, with jars of jam and compotes neatly stacked on the shelves and traditional Georgian clothing pieces and souvenirs displayed, immersing you in the culture. I believe food is a direct reflection of a culture, and you can't fully understand it without tasting its traditional dishes. Oh, and the flowers at every table in vases are real. That made me smile.

I ordered Chakhokhbili and Adjaruli Khachapuri, and neither left me hungry or disappointed. The herb and tomato chicken stew was delicious, served with a generous piece of warm Georgian bread, which was a delightful surprise. The Khachapuri—a warm, puffy boat of bread filled with cheeses, butter, and an egg in the middle—was heavenly. You mix the egg and cheese, tear off a piece of the cheesy bread, and dip it into the creamy mixture. The buttery, savory, and cheesy flavors make it the ultimate comfort dish. I loved every bite.

As for the comments about the service, it's important to understand that the servers and cooks here come from different backgrounds and may not speak much English. People might be shy and lack the confidence to approach you and stand over your soul while you are trying to enjoy your order. Honestly, that would be intrusive. Sometimes it gets quite annoying when servers repeatedly interrupt to ask if everything is okay, especially when your mouth is full. While this might be considered polite and “attentive” by Western standards, it can come across as excessive and aimed solely at earning tips - our server didn’t even understand why we were leaving money at the end of our visit and tried to give it back. We had to explain that it was a gratuity from us. Note that most of the staff (if not all) are women who might appear more reserved or less extroverted in certain social contexts due to cultural differences, but this shouldn't detract from the experience. Try to be patient and understanding. They are there to provide you with good food, not to cater to every whim. Embrace the experience and enjoy the delicious Georgian cuisine!

A hidden gem that everyone should know about. Everything we tried was incredibly fresh and tasty.
Heads up staff does not speak much English which only increased the authenticity of this place for us. We got by fine pointing at menu. There is a picture menu indoors so you can get a visual of something what you are ordering .

Service is a bit spotty and you have to actively go find someone, but that did not bother us. We adapted and still had a real good experience.

In any case you can't go wrong with anything you order. Everything was delish!!!
