I usually spend about $40 a week at the NT farmer's market. I spent $60 at this one as the items I usually buy were way more expensive here. Limited offerings, super expensive, and poor quality on most items. I will not return. I was so disappointed. Here's the rundown. And for the record, we pretty much ate everything right away so the food didn't go bad on our end. It was already bad.

String beans and lettuce - excellent

Raspberries - terrible, good on top but discolored and rotten ones underneath. Nearly $7 for a pint too.

Corn - only 2 of 4 were good and tasty

Apricots - hit or miss, some in the batch were good and others were not so good

Strawberries - excellent

Cherries - worst I've had all summer and who complains about cherries?

Blueberries - these were fine

White onion - also fine

Red apples (gala) - these went bad early on and were not good at all even from the start. We get gala every week at NT and these were just bad.

Lodi - these were amazing.

This was two weeks ago, so there is probably more I'm forgetting.

I feel bad dissing the farmers but I spent a lot of money here and the quality was poor.

If you like going to farmer's market but don't have enough time on a Saturday morning, this market is for you. It has all the basic stuff you would expect in a farmer's market- really fresh veggies, bread is pretty good too. You can also get your morning caffeine fix- they have pretty good collection of teas and coffee. You can easily find parking, it's on a pavement so no fear of mess and mud.

Sweet Jenny's is the best homemade ice cream shop in the area, and their Old Red Mill location is easily the coolest place in Williamsville to get ice cream. However, it is a little expensive and it gets very hot in there, to the point where you're dripping sweat while deciding what ice cream flavor to buy. Helpful staff and the comic book shop upstairs is a cool and geeky place to browse comics that you'll never actually buy. The staff in the comic shop is too involved in your visit however, and breathe down your shoulder the entire time you're trying to browse some comics.

Location at Mill Street is Horrendous! No parking, even though there are open lots, surrounding businesses have guards preventing use of their space even though they were not open for business yet. It is not kid friendly, except to buy them ice cream or candy in the early morning. And selection is much smaller!

It used to be FANTASTIC when it was at Island Park! Plenty of parking, kids had access to the playground and they had soccer areas and/or other activities for kids. Lots of selection, in addition to farmers fresh produce, they had homemade doughnuts, hand soaps, homemade dog treats, organic baby food. A lot of these venders have left the Mill Street location. Please go back to the park! It was a great wholesome, fun Saturday morning routine for the kids to get them outside and away from electronics, without being the mean parent.
