My rating of this church has absolutely nothing to do with their religious practices even as this church has nothing to do with the actual JESUS CHRIST of the Bible. My rating is entirely based upon the appearance and architecture. Do not visit this place if you are looking for an authentic New Testament church.
The owner of this church explained to me that they accept all faiths.
Furthermore, the owner of this church held everyone to the Illinois mask mandate except the wedding party and the pianist. Therefore, I changed my rating from a 3 to a 2. The good and friendly attitude of the owner is the only reason why I did not rate this place 1 star.
Why did I give the rating for the building? The antique feel is nice, along with the old smell.

My daughter was married there the day after a huge snow and ice storm. I have been to this beautiful church several times and think it's beautiful. When my daughter was married there the owner / wedding planner was rude. She hurried everyone into the church, and disregarded our plans and after the ceremony instead of having a receiving line she chased the bride and groom downstairs and then told all the guests to meet at the reception restaurant. We still had plenty of time to take family pictures but because everyone was instructed to leave only bride and groom and parent pictures were taken. What a disappointment

I was married here 37 years ago. Such a beautiful church. Back then they had singing birds in cages, that all started chirping at the end of the ceremony 💖

I'm happy to see the church held up much longer than my marriage...lol. It's still as beautiful as it was then. Very quaint church for a small personal ceremony.

Very pretty church. Good way to not go to a court house or a bigger wedding. Kind of pricey I thought. But it's beautiful there

I have never used this facility as a regular Church. Many years ago I was married in this church. The staff that helped to set up the wedding proceedings were helpful friendly. The charm of this place is almost unimaginable.

We were married here September 22nd 1968. We have never forgotten that day God has been good to us we have two daughters who have had children and now grandchildren.

So beautiful! The church was built years ago using the loveliest of materials rescued from churches no longer in existence. Yes, in those finest of woods and stained glass. When I was married there they even had singing canaries in golden cages.Wonderful memories of a lifetime. ❤

Ive had such an amazing wedding here and I would not change a single thing. I had no issues with decorations because the church itself is too gorgeous to add anything. Andrea was there every step of the way and gave us such a big blessing. I will forever recommend Church by the side pf the road. Thank you so much
