So just got off the phone with I believe her name is Jennifer. Wasnโ€™t very pleased with the call. Explain my situation and told me to contact people that wasnโ€™t going to help me and then said they no longer help with any kind of assistance that they advertised because I guess there website isnโ€™t updated. & then rudely hung up. So it was a very unfortunate call reaching out to them

I wanted to do volunteer work here. They told me to just show up. The guy at the front desk (Cash or something) was no help. He had no business even talking to volunteers because he had no idea what was going on. I filled in an online survey saying what volunteer work I wanted to do, but this place is so disorganized I just left. Too bad because it looked like they needed all the help they could get.

Lost Everything gained nothing, Carol even joked about my demise over the Phone!! Etc... but no one cares to hear my story. FYI jail feed you better and the staff steals food and donations.

My family stays at the shelter,
Victims of a violent crime where we use to reside we always paid our rent, went to bed and woke up together
now we are separated and it's impacted our lives mentally physically and financially
The shelter is very clean though, because we clean it!
The staff - the Security crew is amazing, they can empathize, take action if needed and I feel my family is safe and sound!
Staff is from my observations there are a handful of staff that seem to be in it for all the right reasons and not just a paycheck,
I get it staff is way up there I am way down here.
Its when staff executes strange tactics, like mind control, creative control, penitentiary language, like radioing the director paging her as "warden", and she's just fine with it.
I think it's very unnecessary and not appropriate in a place called hope.
As a resident I find it offensive mental anguish and could be confusing to someone who may be mentally challenged. I wish the staff would take an ethics course before heading these lead positions. Because if they did, they would know better.
Human basic needs are bare minimum
Food shelter and love
Just treat folks the way you would like to be treated and this might be a better place!
Please if you can hear me way up there we are not disposable!
We are alive we are here

God used this place to restore me and my family. This was a place for growth and restoration for us all. During this time I was on my way to divorce and I didn't even know this place existed. The funny thing is that as people I don't think that we realize that during some painful periods in our lives that God is using these situations to grow us, it's the stretching that hurts because we are out of our comfort zones and we as people don't generally like to be uncomfortable. Times of testing are not easy because they can be scary because we see who we are on the inside and what needs to be improved. Sometimes we end up in places and in situations that we didn't expect. I thank God for this place it was a true blessing to me. I pray that it stays around for a long time people need help and when I was in need God put Hope Haven as a part of my journey. Thank you Jesus and thank you Hope Haven. I went by my married name then Dana Moore. God bless you and all the past and present staff. Gary Chapman, Big Mike and Tate were always a great help and resource. Hey Gary

Always happy to donate to the shelter. A better part of the food I grow goes there in the summer. Dropping clothes off for donation that was not needed at this time.
