We were here for the 1st Friday concert. Beautiful setting, great music, and best of all, it's free.
They have a lot of seating available as well as a few picnic tables. If you get there after 5:30 I would bring chairs.
This is a concert, so after the music begins, there is not a lot of talking. 7- 8:30.

Friendly volunteers, gorgeous views, fascinating art installations, great exhibits, and a wonderful learning library make for a half day trip in and of themselves! Then have a nice picnic outside and enjoy the lovely scents of wild Illinois.

Beautiful park with many walking trails. The visitor's center is nice with bathrooms and some nature displays. Their is a very nice bird viewing area as well. They have a great little picnic area. It's a great way to spend an afternoon walking and having a picnic lunch.

Friendly helpful staff, wonderful site with lots of trails and scenic points. We walked up the Camelback Glacial Kame, a 100 foot high deposit of sand and rock left behind when the glaciers retreated at the end of the last ice age about 13,000 years ago.

First Friday concerts are sweet. Been to the October fundraiser too. I imagine anything in this fantastic visitors center is well run. Check the views and bird feeders off the deck

End of a great week of camp for my grandson. Always impressed by the quality of staff and originality of camps. And my grandson loved it.
