We recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott on Lima Road in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and had a great experience overall. The hotel is currently undergoing some updates and repairs, but it didn’t negatively impact our stay at all. Our room was clean, comfortable, and accommodating—perfect for our family of five, including three small children.

What really stood out during our visit was the exceptional service from Theresa, the breakfast concierge. She was incredibly attentive and went out of her way to make our breakfast experience smooth and enjoyable.

During breakfast, I lost my dental retainer in the chaos of managing little ones. Without hesitation, Theresa jumped in to help us look—even going so far as to help me comb through the trash. While we didn’t find it immediately, she assured us she’d keep looking.

Much to our surprise and relief, as we were preparing to check out, Theresa found the retainer and quickly let my husband know. Her kindness, determination, and willingness to go above and beyond truly made a lasting impression on our family.

I was plesantantly suprised at how great my one night experience was here. Very clean throughout, staff was very helpful, the breakfast was better than your normal hotel breakfast and as we were leaving the front desk guy told us a great Dad joke. Very memorable for one night

Basic Fairfield Inn that is undergoing renovations to the hallways and rooms. Floor 2 is complete while floor 3 is closed off. I stayed in a renovated room on floor 2. Room was nice but felt a little dirty, couple stains on furniture already and a long hair hanging from the towels. ||Fitness center was basic with old treadmills and a bench with a few weights. Wipes were dried out and there is no water cooler or way to rehydrate.||Breakfast was good, staff was fine.

One of the dirtier Marriott properties I’ve stayed at. When I walked in the room there was a noticeable smell of body odor. Surfaces were dusty, several hairs on the bed and in the bathroom, bathroom garbage not completely emptied. Shower leaked water all over the floor, glad I was only staying 1 night because I used all my towels cleaning up the water. Room was directly off the elevator but oddly enough I didn’t hear a single person during my stay. I arrived around 9pm and the woman at the night desk wasn’t overly friendly. The gentleman who checked me out this morning was very pleasant and cracked a few jokes. Breakfast offerings were ok. Bonvoy Gold member, will not stay here again.

Upon checking in all seemed well. I was a little worried about the elevator, it seemed like it was struggling a bit. We decided to take the stairs. We were very tired from a volleyball tournament, so we went to bed right away. The next morning, I tried to make myself a coffee but once I filled the basin, I realized that there was dust, dirt and an oily substance inside. Also, hairs around the outside of the machine. I dumped the dirty water out in the sink and along with it came a copper shard! The shower offered only lukewarm water. While brushing my teeth, I felt a wet sensation at my feet. The sink was pouring water out all over the floor from the drain, soaking my only pair of clean socks. I paid over $200 to stay here, because it offered amenities and comfort that the motel down the street did not. I got less quality than many of the other parents on the team who paid $89 to stay at the quality. I brought all of this to the attention of the front desk clerk upon check out, showing pictures and videos. I was told to write all of this down, and left my number with the promise that I would be contacted when the manager was in. I have not been called yet, as promised. I did receive an automated email which impersonally addressed my by my last name only, was pre-written and did not address any of my concerns personally. This property is blemishing the Marriott name, you would be appalled by the images I have saved in my phone. I wish that I could attach them. I am also making our hotel coordinator aware of these conditions. I paid extra to have a hotel which offered a convenient breakfast option, but what was offered was not even appetizing. Not to mention no fresh fruit options or anything of any nutritional value.

Average hotel, currently is going under some renovations as of 12/13/2024 so we didn't have high expectations and only needed the room to shower and sleep for the night. Person running the front desk overnight was super helpful and breakfast was really good for the few hot things they serve. Room we had was fair, overall no real complaints.

After arriving I did my normal bed bugs and camera sweep of the room and found nothing. The room itself was in less than ideal condition(see additional notes). The reason I am writing this is because when I informed checkout staff that I had woken up with bug bites they immediately argued with me and stated that they have somebody who comes through regularly. I originally only found one bug bites so I didn’t think much of it. After arriving back home I found a considerable amount more of bug bites and called the hotel back to ask them to let me know what they find in the room. When I did this the staff argued again, saying that they just sprayed the whole hotel and replaced many things to prevent this, even going as far to question my outside activities(the only places I went during this trip was work and my room). I am waiting to hear back on what type of bug they find, but i will not be staying here again. Having any bugs is bad enough but acting defensive instead of understanding and taking accountability is poor customer service. I have attached photos of the bites so you can decide for yourself if the risk is worth it.

Nice hotel but no carts had to walk all my stuff up to my room and down from my room when I checked out. And asked for extra blanket the young lady had to take 20 mins to find us one
