This is a nice place to spend an hour or so, the indoor activities are fun and my kids (and me) had fun exploring the different areas and activities. The store is also reasonably priced and has some good toys/etc. for the kids that get them more in tune with nature/animals. They seem like they're constantly making improvements and updating things. Love the tortoise.

Ive known this nature center for a good 5 years. I used to be a member, churchville center has good events each month for both adults and kids. I love their lake & living room library with the best view of the birdfeeders and bird friends. They have lots of trail coverage. Every season theres different species of birds, butterflies, insects, and other wildlife such as deer.
Today, February 25th, I saw a mature bald eagle, common mergansers, white breasted nuthatch, tufted titmouse, cardinals, mourning doves, house wren, juncos.
Nice new bird cam from the westcoast addition.

Great place and so peaceful! My Grandmom would bring us here as kids to walk, check out animals, look for turtles and 30 + years I'm still coming when in town and bringing my kid. They do a great job with events for everyone especially getting kids educated on nature and learning to enjoy it along with being respectful/helpful. Cute little trails, some with a wooden path we were able to get my Grandmom down to water in her wheelchair but the rest is dirt paths outside. The butterfly garden isn't anything huge but so peaceful and a must see.
The inside has everything from snakes, birds, turtles, cockroaches, sitting area to read, area for kids to play, area for kids to learn and so much more! You can check it all out in a hour or spend the day enjoying it all slower, going into their library to read about anything nature, bird watch, etc.
Also, never noticed the Playground they have on side of building but is pretty neat. There's 2 sandbox areas, swings, things to climb, slide and other fun things

We did see about 10 deer 🦌 it is a very short trail but I did notice a lot of widowmakers AKA trees falling and leaning on other trees so be careful about that the lake is beautiful unfortunately we went on a Monday so we couldn't go inside the environmental center thing. The bird observatory is kind of lame in pointless.

Serenity is a good word... It is a preserve, so it is kept really well and you can see nature at its best. There are a few areas - the Indian village which was closed(blame Covid), the bird watching area - one can find some pretty cool photo ops here, the board walk, the trails, the garden, which is phenomenal and the plant sale! I love this place for an afternoon stroll, enjoy the beautiful lake views and take in nature as best as you can! Highly recommend!

We loved this place! We went for the annual Gem Crystal Show. Which was amazing! They had so many varieties and different vendors. Plus there was so many cool things for kids to do. I'd love to go back and checkout the place. They had exhibits of different species of birds and butterflies that were once alive. It was a really cool place to hike some trails and birdwatch.

Wow this was a great find, enjoyed our
Visit with my toddler a lot! Nice paths, bird watching, butterfly garden, play area with sandbox, and a great nature center with cozy library and real snakes. Definitely will come back for the Lenape Village opening. The only thing i would add is a swing in the children’s area.
