This was by far the best B&B we have ever stayed at. The owners, Sharon and Carl, were the nicest, most accommodating people you will ever meet. Carl met us at the car to carry our bags in, then showed us to our beautiful room. Candy and ice water were in the room. Although we weren't there, there is an afternoon array of snacks put out and snacks and drinks available all the time. Breakfast was delicious. Baked oatmeal with fresh apples, yogurt with fresh berries and bacon. Better than any hotel room! You won't be sorry!

Everything about this B & B is amazing. It is a stunning home and you feel like you have truly stepped back in time. The rooms are decorated beautifully. The woodwork and the glass windows are so exquisite. Karl and Sharon are so kind and welcoming, we felt very much at home. The breakfasts are outstanding. We will definitely be visiting again and again!

Maple Shade Mansion is our new favorite place to stay! Our room was beautiful with a heated floor in the bathroom, gorgeous shower, and everything was so clean. The inn itself has so many little details in the design and style- it is very well done. We loved the town and walked to the restaurant, the Rocky Grill and had the most delicious dinner. It was about a 4-minute walk from the inn. The inn manager Carl could not have done a better job- was flexible with check-in time, gave us a tour of the inn, directions to restaurants, and made us a wonderful breakfast in the morning. They even accommodated all my food allergies, which is no easy thing. Sharon, the inn owner, was incredibly sweet and spent an hour of her time before we left for home talking with us and telling us stories of the town, its residents, and its history. We will definitely be coming back with friends for their murder mystery weekend in February and to bike the popular bike trail nearby. Thank you for having us Sharon and Carl, we're already looking forward to our next visit!

What a gem . This beautifully restored Mansion is exquisite & was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The rooms were beautifully decorated with all amenities needed for our stay in addition to being immaculately clean, and very comfortable. The Innkeeper and manager are warm and welcoming-with incredible attention to detail. The breakfasts were delicious and nutritious, beautifully served. Throughout the mansion there are lovely sitting areas which we thoroughly enjoyed and access to beverages & snacks. It manages to be both stunningly beautiful whilst being cozy & comfortable. It was perfect for our visit to the local area and made our visit to Brockway even more special and memorable.

We stayed at Maple Shade Mansion the first week of March, 2024. What a wonderful place--from the very friendly Manager and Innkeeper (Karl & Sharon); to the hot and hearty breakfast; high quality linens and a beautiful shower were in our room as well. Beautiful furnishings were everywhere in this Victorian home. If you are looking for a luxury B&B in a quaint little town, Maple Shade Mansion is it! Be sure to read the interesting history of the Maple Shade Mansion, provided in your room. Go to the nearby Brockway museum, a gem of a place telling the story of this small town; and The Rocky Grill is a place we've been going for years for great dining-- All within a walk from Maple Shade.

We are in the middle of our stay for our anniversary. If you get a chance to stay - take it. It's very elegant and the service could not be better!||In planning our trip both Sharon and Carl have been absolutely awesome in suggestions for restaurants and activities, things to do to help make our stay special. Carl even offered to make reservations for us. When we arrived he had our itinerary written out for us. ||We are in the third floor Wendell room. It's spacious, sparkling clean and has an amazing shower with rainfall. We were able to cozy up in chairs in front of the fireplace and slept extremely well. ||After saying I was warm I'm the room the temperature was quickly adjusted and a fan offered. ||Fresh towels, and ice water with glasses are provided with the daily room refresh, and there are plenty of cozy corners throughout the property both inside and out to enjoy the view, and snack and coffee which is always available. ||Breakfast was filling and served with local ingredients and a smile- along with a beautifully set table. ||We would stay again in a minute!

A romantic retreat located in a lovely little town between DuBois and Brookville just minutes off I-80. Absolutely lovely, amazingly affordable with many charming amenities. My husbands favorite was the intricate woodwork and the painstaking renovation that preserved this beautiful late 1800’s home. I loved the ambiance, the friendliness of the owner and manager. The ground with the grape arbor and fountain added to the charm. Our bed was so comfortable, the shower has great water pressure and an endless supply of hot water. Central air was also a bonus. Breakfast were graciously served. My favorite was the frittata. Fresh fruit and yogurt accompanied every breakfast. We loved our time there and we will definitely return.
