Good luck getting a permit here. We called the White Mountain Apache Ranger station who gave us incorrect information regarding a Sinclair that had permits. We were redirected to Hon-Da gas station who was supposed to have permits, but the employees said they weren't handing permits out because game and fish closed the location...we went permitless ‍♀️ It wasn't closed. The trail is primitive. You have to find a slot to climb down into the canyon to get to the waterfall. But boi was it beautiful!

Long dirt road drive. Permit is required because this is in a tribal land/reservation. It help to preserve the land by paying for the permit. Absolutely a hidden gem in the area. This part of Arizona was surprisingly for me not know the green lush forest, river, waterfalls, and mountains of the state. It's a different world in this area. Lots to do such as hiking, fly fishing, backpacking, and exploring. Many wildlife from elk, big horn sheep, bear, cougar, Mexican wolf, and birds.
The waterfalls is definitely a true gem. Recommend a 4wd vehicle due to some rocks on the road are solid and sharp. Be mindful that there is not cell service if anything happen to you or you vehicle. Make sure your tires are good for the road. Be safe and enjoy the falls.

The drive and the adventure to get here make this place even better, we had the place to ourselves on a busy 4th of July weekend, the road is ok for sedan vehicles but its long, park about a half mile from the falls, like its said on other reviews, pictures = 0 justice, it's well worth the long dirt road drive

Amazing! Drive is perfect and the falls are even better. So much to see out here and you can walk and explore so much. Pics don't do it justice at all.
