I don't write reviews. Ever. But, we received such wonderful help that I simply had to let others know of our experience. My girl and I just returned from a trip to Santa Monica, California for the wedding of one of her best friends (initially, she was looking into J&M Belize Travel for a scuba trip, as she is wanting to get her diver's certification). The trip was, mostly, a last minute thing as we only had a few weeks to make the necessary plans. While J&M Belize Travel markets towards Belize travel and other resort destinations, my girl had heard such great things about the company that we decided to see if they could help us with a hotel that was not only close to the wedding, but also within walking distance of the beach, as that was an important factor.

We ended up leaving a day earlier than planned and had to find another hotel for a single evening on even shorter notice. J&M Belize Travel not only helped us find a great hotel within a short walk of the beach, as well as within a very short drive to the wedding, they also found us a fantastic hotel right next to the airport for one evening. Both at unbelievable rates. Suffice to say, we couldn't have been more happy with the assistance we received through J&M Belize Travel. They were easy to work with, personable, found us great places at fabulous rates, and answered any and all questions we may have had without complaint, and in a timely manner.

Bottom line: even though this company specializes in travel to Belize, they are also fantastic when it comes to finding exactly what you need either locally, or elsewhere. As such, I highly recommend them to everyone when booking your next vacation. We couldn't be happier!

I found Maurice while booking ground transportation for an already scheduled trip to Belize. It was only after we began communicating that I realized that he and his wife also operate a travel and tour business of their own that covers not only Belize, but many other spots in the Caribbean. I can say this was probably the best customer service experience I have ever had. Maurice is so solutions oriented that he found answers to questions that I had been unable to get from the organization that booked the trip. He is responsive, organized, professional, and was calming to me when a couple of unexpected things came up (which had nothing to do with him or his company.) "Don't worry," he said, "you will forget all about these problems when you get to my beautiful country." Of course, he was correct! His drivers were on time, friendly, and loved giving us mini-tours when we were in the cars. Not only would I have no hesitancy in using the services of J&M Belize Travel again, I am looking forward to letting Maurice organize my next trip to the Caribbean from start to finish. He is a total pro but more than that he cares about his customers and for that he deserves the greatest kudos.

Maurice at J&M was extremely helpful and was able to help us plan our trip to ATM cave tour down to the last details. Maurice would respond very quickly and worked with us to customize our trip, at group prices. We were able to book a trip to ATM even when coming from Caye Caulker in the morning, and be dropped off at our AirBNB in Belize City. Maurice was great, the tour was incredible, and they were a pleasure to deal with overall. Would recommend to all family and friends who are traveling to Belize and want to book tours.

Wonderful experience working with this travel agency. EXCELLENT customer service. Attentive and available when I needed them. Their specialty is in Belize travel, but they certainly are not limited to just that. I was traveling to Lake Atitlan in Guatemala for a retreat. I needed help finding a flight that arrived within a somewhat narrow window of time to meet up with everyone else in the group. They were able to find me airfare that met my needs and at a much better price point (in business class, nonetheless) than I was able to find on my own. Since the retreat center was located 4 hours from the airport, I opted to have a day layover, to break up my travel times. They arraigned a beautiful hotel at a fantastic price very close to the airport, which was convenient and a welcome relief since I chose to fly red eyes. Since I was traveling so late, they took care of notifying the hotel of my late arrival, so the hotel would not give up my room as a no show. Not only that, since I had expressed concerns about getting from Guatemala City to the Lake, they checked to make sure that the transport to the Lake (provided by the retreat center) had arrived and was reliable. They made sure I was well taken care of and very responsive to my concerns about traveling internationally. I WILL 100% USE THEM AGAIN. I look forward to planning my trip to Nicaragua using their services. They will always get my recommendation. Thank you!!

I don’t usually use travel companies but recently went to Guatemala for leisure. This company helped my friend coordinate their travel and I was pleasantly surprised to see their responsiveness and support they provided them. It made the trip worry free and relaxing. When we arrived in Guatemala City, the travel agent was able to quickly arrange a driver in case other arrangements fell through. All the support they provided was in a timely manner and top notch. I would use this company again in the future and recommend they to anyone traveling abroad. Thank you again for making my travels enjoyable.

Maurice did a fabulous job planning our vacation to Belize. He asked me a few questions and then put together two different itineraries of hotels from which we were able to choose. He also booked two of our excursions, which were paid for before we left home. All of our transportation went smoothly and our drivers/guides were excellent. They were very friendly and excited to share their culture with us. We had a wonderful time in Belize, spending the first part in the jungle rainforest of the Cayo District near San Ignazio and the second part on the beach in San Pedro, Caye Ambergris. Our excursions through Maurice were a cave exploration at Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) which was utterly amazing and a visit to the Mayan ruins of Cahal Pech and Xunantunich, which was fascinating. We had our own personal guide for both excursions and they were excellent. We all absolutely loved Belize and would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend experiencing both parts of this beautiful country because it is so diverse and the people are kind and helpful. One of the most memorable vacations ever--and we actually RELAXED on it! Bring bug spray and sunscreen!
