One reviewer mentioned, 'Our tour guide was nice and you can tell he enjoys doing the tours. I got some history lessons but mostly ghost stories, which was fine. I still enjoyed the tour.' Another guest noted, 'The tour guide was very theatrical, complete with cloak and lantern. He would raise and lower his voice during his speeches, jump out at us from around corners, shout to emphasize points. Unfortunately, his quiet voice was too quiet for me to hear over the background noise of the city. I did miss out on some of the story but I had a good time, took some pictures, and got my steps in.'

I’ve been to many ghost tours in different cities. While the tour guide was very knowledgeable and thorough, there wasn’t enough stops and wasn’t my favorite tour. I would still recommend it because you do learn some history. Highly suggest bug repellent! The mosquitos were eating us up!

We had Will as our guide for a school trip and he was INCREDIBLE! He humor and knowledge of old Philly and the spirits that roam made the experience very memorable!

We visited Philadelphia and went on a Founding Phantoms tour. Our tour guide was Claire. She was friendly and knowledgeable. Asked us about our preferences and knowledge and catered the tour to us. It was a great experience, I highly recommend going on any tour with this company.

My family and I enjoyed the Philly ghost tour. We went at night and the weather was perfect (and no mosquitos). Our guide was very good, and knowledgeable. For me it was more historical than ghostly; but the history was most interesting and surprising.

This was the exciting aspect of ghost story telling. Worth it to hear the stories from times past. I truly enjoyed this two hour walk and the haunting tales. This was safe and fun for children whom like to listen. Excellent bedtime stories with vast knowledge of the area!

Don't recommend!
I just came from this ghost tour in Philadelphia.  I am very disappointed with the tour! I arrived at the signers garden before tour time as instructed.  Everyone was standing around. Nobody addressed me or checked me in. The line was divided in half and each went with a different guide.

I am visually impaired and it is more difficult for me at nite or in rain. I had brought a flashlight with me. I am able to follow the group at my personal pace. I have never had  problem using the flashlight on any other tours. I shine in down on the ground so I can see where I'm walking. At the first place I was attempting to place the lite in my pocket. The guide, Fred, matter of factly and in an annoyed tone, called me out in front of the whole ground,"could you please shut the lite off when we aren't walking!"

I was not shining it at anyone or near anyone. I felt uncomfortable using it after that. I have fallen twice in past on walking tours, once requiring x-rays, a tetanus shot and brace! Which is why i brought the unintrusive flashlight! He didn't keep track of the group when crossing streets or off curbs! There was a man on the tour that kept looking out for me as we crossed etc.
The tour was 90 minutes and we spent most of the time walking. We went to about only a handful of places. We finished at city tavern nowhere near where we began. Fortunately I have been here from CT before and found my way back.
I think the tour was very disorganized and not worth the price!
