We just returned from a 1week trip to the Laurel HIghlands Area of PA. While there we stayed at the Bear Paw Cabin. It was nearly perfect. It's a nice 2 1/2 bedroom cabin (the "1/2" is a tiny room with a single bed in it, and that just barely fits. That room is good for a single - not big enough for two people). But the other 2 bedrooms are great, and the cabin is very livable-modern yet "woodsy".

Terrific screened in porch overlooking a small creek - you can hear it gurgle below you as you sit out there for dinner or just to read.

Front porch under the metal roof over-hang is also great for sitting and doing nothing or watching others play in the front yard (equipped with swing set/slide for the <10year old set). Saw deer and wild turkeys in the surrounding forest from the front porch on two separate mornings. Inside - nice kitchen, fully equipped except single sink and no dishwasher - but it IS a cabin, after all! outdoor grill fully functional and easy to use. and the internet and TV set up was great. one interruption lasted ~ 1 hour, total, for the entire week. 15 min drive to Confluence, 20 minutes to OhioPyle, 25 to Falling Water. I guess one might wish for more convenience, but we actually enjoyed the drives - always beautiful scenery. Would definitely stay at Bear Paw again - consensus of entire family.

Our favorite cabin ever! The place is beautiful and the owner is amazing! It is perfect. The kids love exploring and playing in the creek. Only 20 minutes from Ohiopyle and only a few minutes away from Yough River Lake. We will be returning again!
