My experience with AFK Events & Designs was amazing! Event planner Aurelia was very skilled, talented, helpful and kind. She made the planning process very easy for me, which led me to not stress about my baby shower. Aurelia communicated effectively with me throughout the process of planning my baby shower. She truly has a passion for event planning and making clients visions come to life. I was beyond pleased with how beautifully Aurelia decorated my baby shower. Working with Aurelia and AFK events was a true pleasure! My daughter's garden themed graduation party was a huge success. The flowers, decor, and dessert table were absolutely stunning. Aurelia was able to put her vision/mood board into real life and created the perfect atmosphere for our party. The quality of her work was impeccable, professional, and gorgeous. Professional, organized and a joy to work with. Aurelia provided month of coordination for our wedding in May 2024 at Visarts. We were a couple who planned our own wedding and leaned on her expertise/experience to finalize the event. She organized vendors, venue, large wedding party and family. Aurelia along with her team executed an on time and wonderful event. Highly recommended!

I worked with my school to hire Sunshine for our prom and my jaw literally dropped upon walking in. It was gorgeous and exactly what we wanted for an enchanted forest themed prom. The room looked completely different. We were transported into an enchanted forest. Sunshine was amazing to work with and available to call or text whenever needed. She’s incredible and if I could I would give her six stars. I’m sure the school will be using her for every prom.

I don’t typically write reviews but I’ve had the worst experience dealing with this event planner. Such an unfortunate experience as I was really looking forward to working with them based on the body of work I viewed and their reviews. What can I say I had not even gotten anywhere with them, I’m pregnant and planning my baby shower and I reached out to them for decor with a set budget in mind but willing to have some small wiggle room for overage if need me. They came back suggesting a cost way over my budget, I voiced my concern as this is my baby shower and being such of course no one would want to carelessly spend money. Aurelia basically wasted my time continuously going back through email each time with new suggestions to somehow increase my budget when I was very clear with what I wanted. I even went through the breakdown and mentioned what I wanted to keep vs. what I suggest was not needed. It was like I was speaking a different language. It was a very simple and straightforward fix, she emailed back and forth nonstop, didn’t even have the courtesy to pick up a phone and suggest a phone call to explain/discuss anything until I just directly asked if she could just be honest if my budget wasn’t something she wanted to work with (4.5k) for reference because that became clear with the persistent suggestions to keep adding items to increase my budget. Such wasted time and energy and unnecessary stress a pregnant person does not need to go through. Beware of being squeezed out for every penny you have for some very simple concepts which I provided some ideas for to begin with. Also I worked with multiple event planners and decorators in the past, establishing a vision together with the client and coming up with a budget for what their needs are is typcially a free/inclusive of their charge service.
