Very cute smallish metal MARS spaceship in the corner of the town square. Nice for a quick visit and few photo ops; especially with kids. Not as big as I thought it would be, but large enough to fit a couple of small Martians. There is also a solid brass bell from the USS MARS navy ship on display next to the spaceship. It served for 30 years. A few good shops around the square area as well to visit and enjoy.

I was in Mars, PA and discovered a “UFO” in the middle of the town.
I was told that it was constructed from two oil tanks weighing 3,000 pounds. When you tap on the exterior it has a metal sound. It’s painted battleship gray & reminded me of the classic 1950’s Flying Saucer. I also love how the entire town embraces its name. There were flying saucers on everything, business signs, trash receptacles, flags etc. the UFO is also extremely robust, it’s built like a Russian tank, which makes it very difficult to steal. I also like how it’s in a little park where you can take pictures & spend sometime inspecting it. I will definitely return in the future to see this awesome landmark.

Driving through PA noticed Mars on the map (wanted to show my guy where men are from lol) when you are at this park, if you spin around you have seen the whole town. Stopped by the brew house next door got a hot chocolate (Delicious!!) in a cute Mars tumbler. If you have questions like does Mars have candy bars? I'm sure they do at the gas station a block away. Or is there life on Mars ?(David bowie)... yes. Cool place, glad we checked it out.

One of those great roadside attractions!! If you’re gonna visit Mars, wouldn’t you expect to see a flying saucer? Lots of other fun “out of this world” things to see in Mars.

Def loved visiting the downtown area. I love the fact that they lean into their name so much! Brewfest was about to begin when we visited but we didn't have time to stay for it.

We love these little roadside attractions. Unfortunately, we were passing through on Christmas Eve so most local businesses were closed. Hopefully, we'll make it back there another day.
