I cannot express enough how incredible our experience was with Amanda! From the moment of our introductory call, it was clear that we were in the hands of a trusted professional who genuinely cares about making our wedding day special and easing any anxieties….and as a high-anxiety person myself, it takes an impressive person to do that!
Amanda took the time to understand our vision and coordinate all the details with the various vendors. Her attention to detail was impeccable; no aspect of our big day was overlooked. Throughout the planning process, Amanda was always just a quick text message away, providing reassurance and guidance. Her organization skills kept us on track, and her calm demeanor eased any stress we had. On the day of the wedding, we were able to relax completely, knowing that Amanda had everything under control….and that’s exactly the type of planner you want!
If you’re looking for a wedding planner who is not only talented but also genuinely passionate about their work, look no further than Diamonds & Details. Amanda and her team are absolutely phenomenal! As a Type A bride, I was very nervous about not being involved and overseeing every aspect of my wedding. However, I also knew I wanted to be able to actually enjoy my wedding day. Therefore, I knew a day of coordinator was necessary for my sanity. After speaking to Amanda for only a few minutes, I knew she was the perfect fit for me! Her personality was wonderful! She immediately made me feel calm about my entire wedding, and this was before I even hired her! Throughout the entire process, she was very well organized and professional, was quick to answer any emails, texts or calls, and provided so much more than what I expected for a "day of coordinator." She scheduled an in-person meeting with myself and my venue coordinator, where we were able to walk through the entire plans for the wedding day and worked out any details I had not previously thought about. She kept in constant contact with me in the weeks leading up to my wedding, and always checked in to see how I was doing and if I needed any help. She also attended my rehearsal, which I really appreciated since it allowed me to actually enjoy my rehearsal and rehearsal dinner as I knew she was there to take care of any last minute issues that might have occurred. In addition, she encouraged me the night before the wedding, that if I had trouble sleeping, to text her, regardless of the time. As an anxious bride, to know I could reach out to her at any point and have her respond almost immediately, was truly wonderful. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and that was in large part due to Amanda and her team (Maygan and Caroline). She created a timeline that flowed perfectly and coordinated all our vendors without any issues. She even got our hesitant, two-year-old flower girl to walk down the aisle! Her and her team constantly checked in with me during the wedding day to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. They set up items, helped with photos, distributed the tips to our vendors, and stayed throughout the entire night. They even helped clean up and made sure we got home safely. I cannot thank Amanda and her team enough for helping us have our picture perfect wedding! The day would not have been the same without her, Maygan, and Caroline. They all played a role in making our day truly memorable. I am so grateful that I hired her and would not hesitate to use her again for an anniversary, vow renewal, party, etc. She was an absolute joy to work with!

We chose Diamonds & Details as our wedding planners based on their glowing reviews online, and their Event Management package, which allows you Day of Coordination as well as unlimited questions throughout the process of planning. Unfortunately, our wedding was beautiful in spite of Diamonds & Details, not because of them.
On our wedding day, Amanda’s impatience was felt and brought to our attention by the bridal party, our families, and other guests. I’m almost positive that if I had not remembered we needed to sign our marriage certificate, we would not have been legally married. We had a torrential downpour that changed our plans from an outdoor wedding, and rather than being in my corner and negotiating what could be done with the venue, Amanda just told me she didn’t think they would want to do it that way. My sister-in-law was more on the ball of the emergency situation than our planner was. When we finally settled on a seated indoor ceremony rather than standing room only, I asked that the chairs be turned towards the make-shift altar so it felt more intentional and like guests weren’t craning their necks. With two assistants, Amanda expressed she didn't think her team could do that, so again my sister-in-law handled the issue and asked the bridal party for help. At the end of the wedding, there was an issue with a family member not bringing their car to load up as we had expected. Amanda repeatedly expressed that she would not be paying her assistants over time and would be leaving promptly at 11:30pm. The car arrived at 11:20pm and Amanda and her assistant made no move to help load or transport items to the front of the venue.
Prior to the wedding, Amanada let me know that setting up 100 taper candles was too much work for her and one assistant, so she made us hire another assistant. Aside from set up and take down, her assistants sat quietly in the bridal suite the entire day which was slightly offputting since we had paid for their help. Amanda was not a great listener, did not showcase attention to detail, and often shirked responsibilities onto us or other vendors. It often made us uncomfortable, especially in front of the venue coordinator. She came across condescending with us, and my husband often expressed it was upsetting to him that Diamonds & Details constantly acted like they were going out of their way to do us favors, or that we were asking too much of their cheapest wedding planning package and trying to get one over on them, when what we were asking was agreed upon already or outlined in our contract.
We initially were working with Colette who agreed to help with budgeting and I was told to just ask vendors what they charge and go with what we were comfortable with. We were told that contracts were self explanatory when we asked if we needed to ask any additional questions. When we asked if they helped with transporting decor and she said they did, we were later told to hire a van. Do you guys help me create a cohesive vision? We never discussed my decor and how it fit together. When we told Amanda we were contemplating moving on to another planner, she chalked it up to a personality clash, told us to give her a chance, and she would take over as the business owner and we would salvage the relationship. She asked for payment 6 days later and told us we were still expected to pay our 2nd of 3 payments. By this point we were so in the hole if we hired another planner, we just hoped they would set up decor the day of the event since the venue didn’t offer that service.
Perhaps Diamonds & Details is much better with their other clients who have partial planning or full planning packages, but based on our experience, they should not contract an event management package they seem to regret offering. At the price we paid, I was the most disappointed with this vendor of any of our other vendors for our wedding day, and am glad we didn’t opt for one of their more expensive packages.

Amanda and her team were AMAZING! We had a lot of small details that needed tender love and care and Amanda made it all happen. Not only that, when I was walking around my venue, I noticed so many decorations that I didn't even think of that she added! Everything was decorated so beautifully, even more than I imagined. She did everything I asked for and more. I almost didn't hire a wedding planner, but when I first spoke to Amanda, I knew she was the one I wanted to go with. This was the best purchase of the wedding I think I could have made. If you have a lot of small details in your wedding, are stressed out or just need an extra pair of hands, this is the woman for you. Highly recommend Amanda and her team. Thank you so much for helping make our day so special!!!

Colette and her assistant Caroline were amazing to work with, we couldn’t recommend them more! Colette was above and beyond a month of coordinator. She was there for us the moment we signed with her, and she helped us think of every detail for a perfect wedding day timeline. Colette organized and communicated with all of our vendors and made sure our wedding day was smooth and exactly what we wanted. On the day of the wedding, Colette and Caroline were so helpful and were always right there when you needed them. They did so much behind the scenes and kept the night running on time, too. Besides her incredible organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness, Colette is also so incredibly positive, kind, bubbly, and exactly the energy you want with you during the planning process and on your wedding day. We can’t thank you enough Colette, and any couple would be so lucky to work with her!

The main reason to write this review is to help future brides & grooms not to experience what we experienced with the service of "Diamond & Details" on one of the most important days of any person's life. Amanda was hired to plan our wedding and in the many months prior to our event we noticed a lack of the necessary qualities to be an effective wedding planner. She often displayed lack of organization and ability to focus on the issue at hand. She was repetitive in her mistakes and inefficient. She was compulsive, hyper, forgetful, and not a good listener. Many attempt were made to voice our concerns with the hopes that things would improve. However, to our disappointment that never happened. Instead of working FOR her clients she was more motivated to promote her business with different vendors, not understanding a successful business is built on satisfied clients. Based on our experience, she is seriously missing all essential qualities that a wedding planner requires, which unfortunately leads to irreversible consequence in what ought to be a pleasant experience of a wedding celebration.
Her poor work performance, lack of organization, inconsistency, and short temper was noticed by many guests, vendors, and wedding party members. If it was not for our close monitoring and involvement in the planning of the event she was utterly capable of destroying our wedding. There are far too many examples to list here, but even putting our guests at the proper tables (that we mapped out and provided in advance) proved too difficult for them to accomplish correctly.
In conclusion we think that "Diamond & Details" has absolutely no business advertizing "Stress-Free Planning Leads to Flawless and Sparkling Events" as it is written on their business card. If anyone would like to contact me to further elaborate the many things that were bungled by diamonds and details on our wedding day, I'd be happy to elaborate.
