My second time at the cottages was a dream. I brought two friends (a mom and a business owner) with me for a weekend of relaxing. We stayed at the Lory cottage and it was perfect. Mornings filled with bird watching, afternoons by the fake fireplace inside watching a movie, evenings in the hot tub. Trails on the property so we didn't have to go too far if we wanted to lounge around soon after. We didn't take advantage of the fire pit but it was certainly a tempting option! Both times I've gone in winter and both times the couple that owns the place have been helpful in making sure the snow didn't deter us from arriving or leaving! Lola and her husband are incredibly kind and thoughtful hosts. I can't wait to come back in another season and to try out another cottage.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights with our dog in October and it was heaven! We enjoyed being outside the majority of the time and our dog was in her glory with walking through the trails and being able to run freely. At night we enjoyed the fire while looking at the stars. We brought our telescope and it was nothing short of amazing. It was truly peaceful and we did not want to leave. Lola is very responsive if we had a question. I highly recommend staying! We are already trying to plan another trip for next year.

We love Lory Cottage @ Green Valley. It's private, quiet and surrounded by nature. We enjoy the hot tub, the fire place, the comfy beds, the porch/deck and the hiking trails. Everything you need for a cozy get away is in this cottage by the lake. Lola and her husband have created a wonderful oasis and are committed to their guests having a wonderful time. We have visited Lory more than a dozen times and look forward to our next visit!!

We had a wonderful Mother's day weekend at Green valley!! We had the Excelsior cottage filled with our kids and grandkids. It was so incredibly beautiful and private. We had the time of our lives at the lake and then enjoyed a wonderful dinner nearby! At the end of the evening we sat chatting away in the beautiful hot tub. I would highly recommend Green Valley Lake Cottages for a lovely, peaceful vacation or a time of joy and laughter like we had.

My friend and I had a lovely time. We have been to Green Valley multiple times before but this was the first time in several years. It was just as beautiful as ever. The Lori cottage is cute and cozy and we really enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. Everything was very clean and we had all we needed. The hosts are hospitable and responsive but give you plenty of space. I’m sure we will be back once again.

It doesn't get much better than Green Valley for a lake getaway! We have now stayed at the Sophronia & Lory Cottages and have had a wonderful time both stays. Both cottages were clean and nicely decorated - and the hot tubs are always much appreciated! We are so grateful for a beautiful and affordable place to relax - we can't wait to go back!

A note: I am a little lost on the rationale for some of these one star reviews - Lola has been nothing but professional and helpful both times we have booked. I would suggest anyone planning a trip here understand that some of the cottages on the property are a good bit older than the others - but to call them shabby or even dirty is completely off-base. This is a place for disconnecting, spending time outside, and enjoying the people you've travelled there with - if you're looking for 5-star hotel amenities you'll want to take your business elsewhere.

We've lost track of the amount of times we've been to Green Valley but every time is sure to bring peace, relaxation, and contentment. It's the perfect spot to unwind and let go. Our dogs love it, too. They know immediately where they're at when we make that final turn onto the gravel path and they start howling and shrieking with delight.

We love the hiking trails, the lake, the hot tub, and the coziness of the cottages. Gary and Lola are accommodating, friendly, and responsive hosts/owners. Highly recommend!

Absolutely stunning! We found our Heaven on earth. So peaceful. Fished and boated on the lake , s’mores over the fire pit and counted stares while relaxing in the hot tub. We appreciated the gated entrances -no thru traffic . We were able to bring and enjoy our three grand pups running in the meadows, hiking the mountain trails and they even learned to swim at lake - and hunt for frogs. These memories will last our lifetime. We look forward to our return!
