Kathy and her team took care of me and my two horses as we traveled from South Carolina to New Hampshire.

The horses stayed in their large barn, the horse hotel and I stayed in the bunkhouse.

Everything was clean, neat and as expected.

If you've got extra time in your schedule, stay another day and ride the beautiful Trail Network.

Kathy was amazing! They literally rescued me and could not have been kinder to me and my horse. We had a soft landing place to lay our heads for the night. My horse was comfy and so was I. I stayed in the bunkhouse. Simple but nicely appointed and comfortable. The farm was beautiful with acres upon acres of rolling green grass.

Our new favorite weekend get away! My riding club friends and I love bringing our horses and ourselves to this retreat. The horses have the perfect space and the trails are stunning! The house is adorable. We each get our own room, but when we're not riding, we're sharing a family dinner at the table and playing games into the night. The fire pit out front is the perfect place to sit and read or gather with friends. We will be back again and again.
Even if you don't ride, go for a hike!

Kathy is an amazing host!
The trails are well kept and marked. The houses look lovely and one of the house available for rent has stables! My friends and I went for a day ride (reservations required). We rode for a little over 6 miles and then afterwards enjoyed a nice picnic with food we brought.
Kathy took lots of pictures for us and was there for any questions. They do have a restroom trailer available with toilet and running water. Afterwards she provided goodie bags! So thoughtful and considerate. 💛 Amazing place with phenomenal views of sideling Hill. Recommend going during fall for fall colors.

On my return home from the east, after picking up a horse in CT, I contacted Kathy, at Valley Meadow Farm, outside Hancock, MD. for an overnight for my horse and me. I was expecting to stay in a motel in town but she offered me their "mostly finished" bunk room on site. I accepted this as it was so convenient. She gave me great directions and even my GPS got me to the correct spot. The views of the. mountains, on arrival coming in the driveway, were spectacular. She met me in the driveway, and had me park in a most convenient spot. There was a quite serviceable double stall in the cow barn for Alvin. The bunkhouse was close to the barn and a tiny piece of comfort, even in its "almost finished" state. I was most happy not be able to be able to stay on site and this worked so well for me. Thanks to Kathy and Rick for their great hospitality. I am only sorry I had no time time see the mountains from their trail system. The reviews are so nice.

My friend and I have always wanted to vacation with our horses. We hit the jackpot in choosing Valley Meadow Farms Bed and Barn in Hancock, Maryland. The location is ideal for both rider and horse. Great open barn with room for your tack and the stalls were large and airy. The guest house is lovely.......very cozy and very clean. The trails are groomed....even in the woods!! Lots of open fields to enjoy as well. This is an ideal location for simply enjoying stunning views, the quiet countryside and time trail riding through beautifully maintained trails. Kathy, the owner and manager of Valley Meadow Farms is so welcoming and very attentive to her guests. I HIGHLY recommend you visit this exquisite property so loved by the family...and it shows. We will be back very soon.

My daughter and I took our horses for a day ride. The trails/farm is immaculately kept! Miss Kathy is most the welcoming host! Trails are slightly challenging, but completely suitable for barefoot horses. We will definitely be back!!
