Great food at the Roaring Fork complimented with friendly service. Admittedly I was here for a private event, but the overall experience was enjoyable and this will definitely be on my list the next time I'm in the city. I had the Iceberg BLT, 8oz Filet Mignon (exceptionally cooked) and finishing up with the raspberry cheesecake. We also had a couple of sides, with the jalapeno Mac 'n' cheese a particular standout. Highly recommended.

Loved this place!! Super classy. Service was amazing even at the bar high tops. We felt cared after. Wine-top notch! Steak-lovely! Side dishes-AMAZING. The chili mac & cheese was yummy! Also green colored but delicious. The mashed potatoes were creamy. Not a huge fan of the Caesar salad as the dressing felt very oily. But it was a large salad. Overall such a cosy restaurant & everything was delicious. Even the dessert.
Reservations recommended unless you come early to grab a large high top table but the bar.

I was able to check out the Roaring Fork while in town for SXSW. First, when my entourage and I entered the establishment we were greeted very poorly. It was to the point I got frustrated and decided to leave. When we were outside, we decided to give it another chance. Once we came back in, the original person in front was gone and a manager was there. The manager greeted us, got us situated with our reservation and got us seated. Our server catered to our needs and was excellent. The queso we had for appetizers was amazing. I couldn’t stop eating it. Then came my Big Ass burger order and it was huge. I couldn’t finish it but it tasted so good. I’m glad we gave this place a second chance, as the original person in front had people in front and behind us leaving in droves. Thank you to that manager taking over and treating us as human beings. We will be back again!

Very nice place to eat. We went on a Saturday night and it was a very loud atmosphere. Staff was excellent!
Truffle fries were amazing, duck was a little tough and I prefer my Brussel sprouts more roasted than how they came but still good. The filet was tender enough to cut with a fork.

The Roaring Fork is an upper-scale business friendly restaurant not only for your high rollers but a great place for a romantic night out. It’s also a great place where can enjoy a nice dinner before a show at the Paramount Theatre. You can valet your vehicle there at the Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel.

I have dined here before but usually at the bar which has a atmosphere. But this time seated in the dining room section. It was not very crowded where seemed like everyone wants to hang out in the bar section. It was peaceful and quiet with great personalized service. The dinner menu had a nice selection of options and decided to order the Rotisserie Chicken.

The chicken smelled and looked delicious and was very presentable. It has great color and texture sitting on top of cornbread stuffing, brussels sprouts and, and lemon garlic jus as described on the menu. It had great flavor and succulent not including the cornbread stuffing. It was really good.

We definitely had a memorable experience.

This place was fantastic. I was in Austin for a work even and with about a dozen coworkers. We ordered pretty much every item on the menu and they all came out amazing. The tuna was outstanding!

I’ve been here 6 times now. Worth it.

Go here if you want excellent service and above average food. I go there in a tee shirt and jeans, but dressing up a little seems more appropriate. Valet parking is very much worth it.
The only negative thing I can think of is the fact they removed the French onion soup from their menu. That was my wife’s favorite dish.

Pricing is VERY fair for the quality.

Perfect spot for a nice dinner date.

Get the lamb chop fondue. 9/10
Get the roasted duck. 10/10
Crème brûlée is a must! 11.6/10

If you’re super hungry, split the tortilla soup. It’s very filling though. 9.4/10

Cat (or Kat?), you gave us such good service that I felt obligated to leave an excellent review.

The service was slow and the steak I ordered was delivered well below Medium Well. I don't usually send food back but I asked for more time as it was borderline medium rare. Even with the additional time the steak was not medium well. See the picture to draw your own conclusion. Furthermore the plate it was served on looked as if it might have been microwaved. I can't confirm so I shouldn't speculate, yet the ring around the steak looked too symmetrical for a broiler and looked more like a rotating dial. My date's pork was also undercooked as we asked for no pink. All in all for the price I paid, it would have been nice to receive the food the way we ordered it. This was my first trip to the downtown location. I will stick to my usual RF in North Austin off of 183. It was a much much nicer experience. I should mention the manager comp'ed us a dessert for the "inconvenience" but that wasn't particularly enjoyable either.
