I very seldom take the time to leave reviews but this place deserves all the praise and then some! Me and my husband were in town for a quick trip from Houston. The hostesses was able to squeeze us in on a busy Saturday night. The food was spectacular, from the cocktails, appetizers, to the mains. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves! I’m an oyster fanatic and these ones stood out, Pleasant Bay oysters must try. Apart from the food, the service and environment is what makes this place stand out. The waiters are knowledgeable on the menu and incredibly attentive. Thank you Austin for this gem of a restaurant!! We will be regulars every time we’re in town.

One of the best dinners I have had in a very long time. We celebrated our anniversary here, and they had a beautiful card and rose for us. Our waitress was phenomenal. She explained everything so well which made the dining experience that much more elevated. They were very accommodating of my pregnancy and advised me of alternatives for me. Along with our wonderful steak and the delicious creamed corn, we ordered the escargot which were in puff pastries and were excellent! They also gifted us with complimentary cocktails and, in celebration of our anniversary, a free dessert! It definitely came with a price tag so be prepared for that, but it was well worth it and we hope to be back!

Celebrated our 2 year anniversary. The staff was very polite, they decorated our table with flowers and a 2 year anniversary card. Our waiter even gave us a free dessert too. All of our food was very delicious. We for sure would come back for another visit.

Our evening at Carvers was amazing. We were out celebrating a bachelor party and we were beyond impressed. The food was delicious, the ambiance was impeccable, and Norah our waitress was absolutely on point. She was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Definitely get the garlic bread, escargot, and pork chop. We looked at a lot of reviews before choosing Carvers and we definitely chose right. I would highly recommend.

J Carver’s Oyster Bar & Chophouse requires reservations and there is valet parking. The restaurant’s service is excellent, allowing customers to enjoy the menu at their leisure. The restaurant has a good wine list, but there are also other drinks. The Oscar-style bone-in filet is wonderful and I recommend it. There is also a chocolate cake that ends the dinner perfectly.

Definitely a 5* steakhouse. The lobster bisque was Divine. The garlic bread was especially great. Our drinks were fabulous. I highly "my rich uncle" Think Pina colada with whiskey. Damn good! My wife had A5 Japanese wagyu truly melts in your mouth. I had the Sea food risotto. Lots of lobster, crab and shrimp.
The only bad part was when the bill came. Over $500 for two people. I'm not going to lie we had two cocktails each and dessert. Still a bit of a shock to see. Would we go back? If someone else was buying you bet! My wife and i will probably get two $250 meals next time That said it was definitely a great experience.

What a wonderful time we had at J Carvers this week, it was a level of professionalism and service that really blew our minds! The food is incredible, from the bone marrow on Italian bread to the selection of carefully sourced steaks, all together it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a steakhouse. Wanted to give a special thank you to Ian our server who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great night.

Excellent selection of drinks. Perfectly prepared steak and lobster. Although I do wish they would offer grass fed steak options.
