This stay was excellent.

They provided bathroom toiletries which was a plus. No toothpaste though but not expected.

Pantry was also stocked with many essentials. Seasonings, Condiments and flour / sugar/ etc. I even left plenty staples behind for future campers.

ETA— owner left poor comment on AirBNB bc my kids played with the games that were located in the drawers. Even though they were put back properly. It clearly stated in his handbook that there were games for the family to play yet he commented that my kids “pilfered through” the drawers. #petty

We loved our trip here. We did a lot of driving around, but when we were at the cabin it was very relaxing. Nice views, peaceful and very clean. It was nice being over the river. We also had a train that ran almost under the back deck. We had to drive through the ghost town area to het there. That was cool.

We found this our 3rd night in Calico Rock and it turned out to be the most awesome place. My cousin, her husband and 3 month old baby joined me and my husband for one of the 3 nights we stayed. Due to being in town for my aunt's funeral, we were unable to enjoy the ambience of this cabin like we would be able to on a normal vacation. The owner was fantastic to work with, the "caretaker" was great and the value was awesome. The last night, my husband and I were able to sit on the back deck overlooking the White River and enjoy the view and the peacefulness. The cabin would be great for a vacation or just a little "get away" time. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

My family and I stayed at the cabins for a quick weekend get-away of peaceful sunsets and fresh river air. The cabins were absolutely beautiful and the views were breathtaking!! The owner couldn't have been more accomodating and the cabin even had thoughtful little perks like a barbeque grill on the deck! We will stay here again and again.|

We had an amazing time. Beautiful view, sunsets are magical. Theres also a beautiful area to explore and very peaceful . We had an to do an improvised photo shoot because of how beautiful the place was. The picture don't do justices to this place. The cabin its self was very specious and had everything you need. There was enough beds for all of us. The location is a bit hard to find if you use the GPS, but they provide you instructions on how to get there, just follow the instructions and you wont have a problem finding the cabin.
We will definitely be returning

We had booked a cabin at Calico Rock Cabins for New Years. We had driven from Memphis & as we had arrived about 30 minutes from Calico Rock (at Mountain View), the owner (Jack) called to inform us he had given our room away after it had been reserved with a credit card. It was a busy weekend and there were no rooms in town. Luckily, we all (there were 6of us-including my middleaged parents, a newborn baby and I had a c-section the week before) got to sleep on my mother-in-law's hard living room floor or we were faced with sleeping in a car. Jack told us that he would give us a 2day stay during the week for free-any weekday of our choice. We chose the Monday & Tuesday of Memorial Day. We went those days & Jack was incredibly rude when we checked in. I guess he realized that he should have excluded these days. Anyway, this wasn't OUR fault--if he hadn't given our cabin away in the first place, we wouldn't have been in this dilemma. The reservations were for 6 people and he came over cursing us because we had six people. He told us that we had better not steal or break anything,and that some of our guests would have to leave (who were on the reservations list). He threatened to call the cops because the 6 people were there. He just decided to show his *** because he realized he could have made money off our room. He came over several times and cursed our family and cursed our kids. We left. He told us to make sure we washed our sheets and cleaned everything spotless (it's $125 a night-shouldn't this pay for the housekeeper?). We will never be back. We are just everyday normal people who decided to spend the weekend with our family without sleeping on the floor or being treated like trash. The cabin was beautiful and so was the view. Jack's nasty attitude tarnished the beauty of the place.

I have stayed in one of Jack Wards cabins several times over the past few years. He has never been anything but polite. I would recommend that anyone who wants a relaxing, laid back break from the hectic world stay there. The only time I have experienced any visitors while there was Jack's sweet mother-in-law coming by for a visit. Great place that I would stay anytime!!!!! ||(And Jack, I really don't have a clue when I was there last) 🙂
