If you are looking for something unique and close to some amazing Pittsburgh locations, this place is it. We spent 2 nights for a wedding at the Museum Lab. Visited the Aviary, the Carnegie museum, and Bicycle Heaven (so cool). Emma's room was perfect for 3 of us. Sitting in the parlor for breakfast and the other rooms for tea beat out the lobby of a boring hotel any day. Nice added touches like space heaters in rooms, candy, teas, treats set out during they day. Nice breakfast options and good coffee. Sam was super nice and helpful.

Walking into this place feels like stepping back in time, in the best way possible. The historic charm is incredible, with beautifully preserved details and a cozy, elegant vibe. The food was well-prepared, though the menu is a bit limited, and the service was friendly but slightly slow. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a unique, intimate dining experience, but don’t expect a fast-paced, modern restaurant feel. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate history and a relaxed atmosphere.

This cozy place is very well located. We stayed here during the holidays and it was beautifully decorated. We arrived much later than expected due to travel delays and was warmly greeted when we finally got there. Host is professional and welcoming. Breakfast is healthy and fresh. Highly recommend!

The Boggs Mansion is under new ownership as of September 2024 and it is simply an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spacious...the Continental breakfast is a feast...the mansion itself should be a landmark...and the new owners could not do enough for us. We have a son living in Pittsburgh and this is the ONLY place we will stay when we visit in the future. Truly outstanding!

This is a nice little piece of history. Great self serve breakfast, quiet but close to everything. Sam is very welcoming. Beautiful to wake up and see the snow falling.
Recommend to anyone coming to Pittsburgh for a visit. Right next to the YMCA, Aviary, museums and stadium.

Our usual bed and breakfast was sold so we had to find another place to stay. Lucky for us the Boggs Mansion had one room left. So glad we found this place, we will definitely be back here next year when we make it back up here.

The owner, Carl, will entertain you with lots of stories. He is fun and colourful. Unfortunately Jeff was out of town while we stayed at the inn so we didn’t have the opportunity to meet him. The building alone is fabulous. ||Ask for a tour of the once was restaurant in the back that remains in tack. Through the renovation, Jeff and Carl kept the integrity of this gorgeous home. ||The beds were so comfortable (and ample fluffy pillows); rooms are very spacious. Bonus - the rooms have a small fridge. But you will need to bring your own amenities such as body cream (and conditioner if you are staying in the front room). ||You don’t stay here for the breakfast, you stay here for the luxury of being in a 1800’s revamped mansion. And enjoying the very warm and friendly owners. (I get the feeling that Jeff is just as great as Carl.)

“ Here is your private bathroom, in a shared hallway”…

Don’t stay in The Owners Suite. It’s a hostel style room (that they do not tell you about until arrival) that is meant to be part of a family suite. We were not expecting this setup and re-read all of the descriptions as we were definitely not told we had a separate bathroom outside of our room or that we would have hallway mates…
We tried to let it go and settle in. That’s when we noticed the giant hole in the wall behind the bed, the dust (practically everywhere) and the rat bait sitting next to a cutting board on the floor in the kitchenette..

The manager responded to our concerns by diminishing us, saying “ this is our first complaint” then owner essentially told us he didn’t care and wanted us to leave. See included texts.

We only stayed here bc the regular b&b we stay at for Steelers games closed down. Ended up leaving a day early due to the misrepresentations of the operators.

Not pictured: the smallest/ most inefficient shower with a soap dispenser that hasn’t been replaced in 5-10 years.

Also the bed is a full size, not a king.
