This is a peaceful little state park in the middle of bald eagle state forest. It is very beautiful here but there are no standout features here. It is a very quiet park and also very peaceful.

Went for a fun lil hike with the kiddos today at a state park we've never visited. Well maintained and some easier trails for littles. Will def go camping there this summer!

We camped here at site 14 for nights last weekend. The park is beautiful. So many green mossy rocks and the creek is very peaceful. However, the sites are very close together and tight. We had 4 adults with 2 tents and we justttt about fit. Plus the ground is very gravely (make sure you have a good sleeping pad!) which made putting the tent stakes into the ground tough. Also, the bathrooms were clean but the shower had no direct spray and was ice cold. However, despite everything being close together, it was actually very quiet!

Beautiful park! The lighter trails around the river are perfect for families. The hike up Thick Mountain is good for experienced hikers who like the challenge of steep incline 1000' up to the peak. Scenic historic dam walls were awesome. Will be back!

Reeds Gap, awwww! This my go to relax, read, just sit by myself and enjoy the quiet. We recently had a life celebration there for another Reeds Gap lover, it was cold, but beautiful!

Small but beautiful, great family camp area, can be hiked casually in a few days. If your looking for a good family day it's perfect. If your looking to have a good trek as and advanced hiker, try trough creek state park.

I love going here. It's so quiet and well maintained. I take my dogs here often to run and play in the creek. Beautiful park, entry of pavilions and camp sites.
