As a wedding photographer who has photographed 500+ weddings, barn wedding venues are a dime-a-dozen in the Lancaster area...but there's only one The Barn at Silverstone. Seriously. Throw out all of your preconceived notions about barns because they're simply not true about this venue. The barn feel is still present but it's very modern, sophisticated, and with all of today's amenities that we've become accustomed to.

The getting ready suites (his and hers) are incredible with plenty of space and great light - the two things every photographer loves. Trust me - book the suites!

Whether you choose to have your ceremony on the patio outside or inside the hay barn, you simply can't go wrong. You either get open farm and sky views of Lancaster or a moody ceremony in a climate-controlled environment.

Cocktail hour can be a combination of inside and outside when the weather is nice or entirely inside if the weather isn't cooperating. Guests move upstairs for the reception and get to remain there for the evening (unless they want to step outside and explore the patio at night).

But what really makes The Barn at Silverstone the best is Miranda and the entire John Serock Catering team. They care so deeply about each couple's experience and do everything to make your dreams a reality. Every couple of mine that had their wedding at The Barn at Silverstone had nothing but great things to say about their experience and I concur.

When we started wedding planning, we knew we wanted a venue where there was a separate space for all parts of the evening and had an indoor ceremony option as we were looking at late fall. The Barn at Silverstone checked all of those boxes. Each space is absolutely beautiful and has it's own personality. The Hay Barn space is the perfect place to have your ceremony. The Stables where cocktail hour is held has an indoor/outdoor option for guests to mingle. And the Barn Hall with the stone wall and twinkle lights made for a beautiful reception area. On top of that, they have a spacious bridal mansion where myself and my bridesmaids/moms got to get ready in the morning of. There were so many different areas outside too that were perfect for photos. The fall leaves and bridal mansion made for a beautiful backdrop. Along with the amazing spaces, working with Miranda was an absolute dream. She was so helpful throughout the entire wedding process. Miranda was so quick to respond to emails and provided lots of input on vendor recommendations and design ideas for the different spaces. It put my mind at ease during the planning and even the day of. The software tool that Miranda uses was so user friendly and helped in keeping myself organized. It provided reminders and I was able to keep track of all payments and guest RSVPs/meal choices within it. We would not have changed a single thing about our wedding day; it was an absolute blast. We are so grateful that we got married at Barn at Silverstone and worked with Miranda. We highly recommend The Barn at Silverstone!!

I am not sure if there are enough words to describe the amazing wedding my husband and I had here at the Barn at Silverstone. First off, the venue alone is completely gorgeous and so taken care of. But let me start by saying Miranda is the best thing to ever happen to you while you are planning a wedding! The detail, the scheduling, the order and the relaxing vibe she gives off. It honestly felt like I didn’t have to lift a lot of fingers while planning our wedding because of Miranda! She was there, along with Kristy at Serock Catering, ALL DAY during the day of our wedding. From checking on us in the Bridal Mansion to saying goodbye and congratulations at the end of the night. AND the amount of assistance there is while working with Miranda is amazing. She was able to provide a huge list of recommended vendors who have been to the venue before which made the entire process go so smoothly. I could go on…. But I seriously can’t imagine getting married anywhere else.
