My husband and I went kayaking in early June. The Susquehanna River is beautiful, and this started out as a fun trip. We were the only guests that day, and the company accommodated us as far as the time we wanted to go. Our shuttle driver, Joe, was very knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed chatting with him. He helped us launch and told us it would probably be about a 4 hour trip depending on how much we paddled. We put in at a covered bridge near the Bloomsburg Fair Grounds and finished where we parked at their shop. However, the wind - which was forecasted to be very light - picked up becoming VERY strong, and we had to paddle into it the entire time. This kayak trip from Bloomsburg to Danville took us at least 4 1/2 or 5 hours, and there is no restroom - either before the start, along the way, or at the end, and there is no place to stop along the way to stretch your legs. I know the wind isn't the fault of RAC, however, it would have been nice to have been able to take a break. The second we stopped paddling, the wind blew us back towards where we came from. So we paddled non-stop. We were exhausted by the end. I'm mentioning this so that other people know what to expect. I hope RAC can arrange for a stopping point midway for future kayakers or have a closer drop-in point to make for a shorter trip.
All in all, though, it was a fun time!

Clarification: This was a very fun trip, we were just so exhausted by the end because of the unexpected wind. Also, there IS a restroom at the start and the finish. It is under construction. Joe, our shuttle operator, showed me where it was but since it was filled with tools and I'd have to step over construction materials, (plus there was no tp at the time), it didn't seem to be in operating order. Once it is up and running, it will be great!

Had a great experience. Owner so helpful and kind-- he genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time. Equipment good. Rental experience incredibly easy and convenient. Will do this regularly, and will recommend it highly!
