Our family decided to take a short trip to come and see the cranes! They are passing through here until February from the Great Lakes on their way further south. We loved getting to observe this phenomenon in person and the staff at the visitor center were kind and helpful.

I absolutely love this place, crane season is wonderful but there is always a lot of wildlife to see, lots of birds. A great place for the family to visit and plenty of walking trails either at the building or very close by

Great place to see birds! I’m not most knowledgeable or obsessive birder but this place is pretty neat. Visited in late January to see the migratory sandhill cranes—worth making a stop or trip to see; would recommend!

It is a lovely place, smaller than most but where the birds choose to come and rest on their journey South. We just missed them on our journey South, but enjoyed walking through the park and seeing the small local birds. The lodge has impressive displays of Florida animals and flora. Bathrooms there but not at the viewing house.

My family makes am annual trip here around Christmas/New Year to see the cranes. It's really an awe-inspiring sight to see thousands of Sand Hill Cranes all in one place. And if you're lucky you'll see endangered Whooping Cranes as well. I haven't been there in spring or summer but plan to

The new welcome center is really nice and staged by friendly people who are very eager to give you advice on what to look for and where to go.

Fun and relaxing day out. Found a couple of little trees I may get for my planters by my front door. Interesting history!
