My stay on May 17th was the worst experience ever.I called the front desk over 20 times, and the phone went to voicemail. Hilton Honors called the front desk, and the phone went to voicemail also.I final went downstairs Sunday I told the front desk the person in the room next to us played music all night could you please ask them to stop.The rep told me there's nothing she can do.If I dont like it I could leave.Finally,she didn't ask them to turn the music off until 8:30am
By this I,was pretty much over Home2 suites

We had earlier had a wonderful experience at a Home2 in Illinois. This one was not quite as good. The room was older and could have used some deep cleaning or a replacement carpet. |Our main frustration was with a barking dog across the hall. I understand that Home2 wants to be pet friendly; however, you have non-pet-lovers who also need accommodation. This dog barked for over an hour, and when we called the desk, the only thing the clerk said was "Oh, the owners probably aren't in the room. There's nothing I can do." Well, okay then. I would suggest that if Home2 is going to be pet-friendly, that they include that pets must be under the owner's control at all times.|Also - a king size bed needs more than three pillows. |Otherwise, we did sleep well and the front desk was friendly and helpful.

Homes2 suites is a goto when traveling because they are usually clean and dependable. This time was no different but aggravated by house keeping knocking on my door in the am despite the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. Then I freaked because when leaving 2 doors down from my room was a room with blue tape around door frame with white powder sprinkled on it. Yikes, went straight to public laundry to wash everything I took into my room in case of bed bugs! Why else would there be powder sprinkled around the exterior of that door?

The family stayed here one night. We booked the room thru Expedia. Upon checking, we informed the hotel we had our pet with us and stated that we acknowledged that there was a $50 pet fee as disclosed by Expedia.||After checking out, the hotel charged us $90 for the pet fee AND they charged us again for our hotel room in addition to our booking and paying thru Expedia. ||Now, one phone call to Hilton corporate who took down all of our info and complaint and issued an expedited complaint number, which in hindsight was not helpful. No one ever referenced the complaint number and, trust me, it wasn’t “expedited”. ||Followed up with a voicemail to the property manager and a phone chat with the property sales director. The manager apparently doesn’t work on Mondays and only during the evening. The sales director would forward my message on to the manager. ||More waiting. No call back. No resolution. ||Call the local property again and this time am informed the manager is in and my call will be forwarded. Now, get this. The manager hung up on me (or they dropped the call). I call back leave a voicemail. No return call. ||More waiting. I call again. And it goes straight to mail. Avoidance, I guess. ||Later, I call again and this time I talk to the sales directors again from several days ago. The manager is “on another call” (more avoidance) but they have apparently issued a refund for the duplicate charge. It hasn’t hit my credit card account yet, but that is their story. Time will tell. ||Meanwhile, they acknowledge the overinflated pet fee but will not issue a credit for the difference between what they charge and what their third party vendor, Expedia, is representing in their behalf. It’s only a $30 difference, but for the life of me, I can’t understand why they chose to disgruntled a loyal customer over a corporate miscommunication issue between them and their booking referral partner. ||So, next time passing thru Fultondale, either stay somewhere other than Home2Suites or make sure you check your bill for duplicate room charges and overinflated pet fees.||totheir story.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding experience I had at Home2 Suites. My check-in became complicated due to an unexpected change in my work schedule, but Shelby, the manager, went above and beyond in a way that truly moved me. On a cold night, she came in from home—bringing her family with her—to personally assist me. That kind of dedication is rare and speaks volumes about her character.

Sivi, the front desk clerk, was equally exceptional, showing genuine empathy and compassion toward my situation. Her kindness made what could have been a stressful evening feel manageable and even uplifting.

This wasn’t just great customer service; it was an act of true humanity. I am deeply grateful to Shelby (as well as her sweet, beautiful family), and Sivi for turning a difficult moment into a positive memory. They exemplify the very best of hospitality, and I can’t recommend this team—and this hotel—highly enough.

The front desk clerks were amazing! Unfortunately, Vicky (manager) lacks managerial skills and empathy.

Their system malfunctioned and timed out while my payment was processed; the payment was deducted from my card and reflected a pending status. The clerk contacted help desk regarding the system issue, and help desk attempted to draft my card an additional 5 times for payment. There was not a resolution for 5 hours, but the clerk worked diligently for a resolution. Vicky arrived late for work that night. The clerk updated her with the details. I was given a form to complete, informed that she would reject the pending payment, and process it on her end since she had to complete a night audit. Two payments posted to my account. No one contacted me nor attempted to provide a refund. I informed front desk of the issue and was advised that Vicky will follow-up with me. Of course, no response from the manager. I contacted Vicky who stated that I was given a refund (not factual information), and she will email her manager. She agreed to follow-up with me the same day at noon. There was no call from her. I returned to the hotel to converse with Vicky. She had the clerk to tell me that she couldn't see me that day. Vicky was standing by the table in the lobby when I revisited the location the same day. She responded to my concern rudely and condescending while declining to provide me with corporate's phone number.

Today, November 9th, I contacted the hotel and conversed with Vicky after my calls were ignored two days prior. Again, this woman responded condescending and informed me that they didn't draft two payments from my account due to funds were not available. I reminded Vicky of the posted payments and offered to bring proof of the transactions. Of course, she declined.

Corporate needs to investigate this woman's fraudulent activity before there's a case.

Very good hotel. Only reason for 4 stars are some maintenance issues. We had a 1 bedroom suite which has 2 AC units. The one in the bedroom didn't work and the one in the living room had a bad wall control. Some ares of carpet are pulling up just a little. Neither items are terrible, they just need addressed. The furniture is not really our taste. The chairs and couch in the room are uncomfortable to us. No deduction for that, because this is our opinion. Breakfast is very good. They had croissant sandwiches, sausage gravy and biscuits, cereals, bread and bagels, make your own waffles and fruit. They also have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies that are available all the time. They are really good and a nice touch. service was excellent. Very polite at check-in and any time we spoke to any employee.
