It’s in the canyon so low and you get at least 2 spots to view the impressive mountains. The Apache house is on top of a hill & that offers great views. We were fortunate to spend time with a family of deer! So serene and beautiful. Easy walking and a lot of options for trails. It was more pricey than other locations. The visitors center shop is dated but the mini exhibit is great for kids & there is an outdoor portion.

This is a great little state park that has easy and beautiful trails along oak creek and the surrounding area. Just outside of Sedona so a short drive that was great for us on limited time. The cost is $7 a person and it goes to the good cause of maintaining our parks. Staff here was friendly and helpful and there was a nice visitor center with clean and well maintained facilities.

Nice park with good trails. Smoke trail is a nice short trail near the visitor center and runs parallel to Oak creek with 99% of the trail in the shade. Good trail if you want to do a short trail with younger kids or if you don't want to walk too much. Not very crowded which is a huge plus in Sedona (as its rare to find such places). We were there on a long weekend Monday. Very well maintained visitor center with very friendly park rangers. Might see some rattlesnakes & other wildlife if you're lucky.

It's hidden underground so look for ramp heading down from parking lot into completely hidden building. Restrooms down there too. Paths are very easy good for non-hikers. Beautiful views. It's small.
