Very friendly family ran and owned place to stay in Cave Creek. Rooms are adequate and clean. My husband and I visited often with the owner and enjoyed our stay very much. The owners we very attentive to making sure we had anything we may need while we were staying. The pool area is nice to hang out at. The beds were comfortable. They have some very beautiful things in their store so make sure you check that out. I'm fairly certain we would stay here again if we vacation in Cave Creek in the future. 😎

This motel is a hidden gem. I live in Cave Creek, but we wanted to spend a night out. The man at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful. The room was AMAZING and cozy. VERY clean. Decor was great, bed was comfortable. Will be back and highly recommend.

Staff was friendly, room decor was quaint and well done for the rustic look they were going for. Late check out wasn't a problem. Lobby area was closed 90 percent of the time. There appeared to only be one staff member on location at a time and they were answering a cordless phone as they were working on room(s) being revamped, they don't provide hair conditioner in the rooms, TV is on the smaller end, outdoor pool is not heated and was closed when I was there with kids during their spring break, ice machine didn't have ice etc.

As long as you don't expect maid services, a pool that isn't locked up when the person at the front desk leaves at 2PM, no phone in the room and no one in the office for more than two hours a day and no ice machine. This place isn't bad. Lol the bed is cozy and the room was clean. Just don't expect anything other than that. A hundred bucks plus a night is a lil too pricey for this place. Location doesn't make up for it. Once you finally get someone to check you in...you are on your own...

Stayed at the Tumbleweed on the 9th of May, room seemed pretty clean at first glance...it wasn't. Was using the super slow internet when I noticed a bug crawling on the sheets....yes it was a bed bug. It was late so we stripped the bed and killed a couple more, sleep with just a sheet and one eye opened. By morning we couldn't wait to get out of this dump. Yes we had bites and killed about a dozen in total. Staff acted surprised, said that's too bad, mentioned a refund (didn't happen) but that won't fix the bed bug issue. Town is nice (Cave Creek) and worth a visit, would not recommend this over priced establishment.

Stayed for a couple of nights while we were in Phoenix for Spring Training. Clean, quiet, good sized room, comfortable bed. We couldn't make it to check in before the office closed, so we worked out an accommodation. It didn't get hot during the days, so the A/C kept up just fine. If I had to guess, this is an older motel that has been updated. I thought the prices were fair, would have liked coffee in the room, and the Office/Lobby hours are different than what I am used to, but those are minor issues in my mind.

We will probably stay here if we come down for spring training again. We liked Cave Creek, and the room met all of our expectations.

250 bucks for this old west room. Cute decor, but lumpy beds, 2 towels, 2 washcloths, no bath mat , can you say slip and slide, kitchenette with zero supplies, no
hairdryer, tub was filthy, heater missing knob on thermostat. Am I missing anything? Oh ya....bathroom smells of urine. Looks can be deceiving.

Don't book!!!!
Booked on Airbnb - host never told staff so they didn't have a room ready and gave us a room that didn't have toilet paper...
Sockets missing covers so that's a fire and electrocution hazard (for those of you with kids). Holes in shower from poorly fitted plumbing, and a bathroom that hasn't been updated in a decade.
Host seems to be spending the vast majority of time buying and attempting to sell 'antiques' instead of running and more importantly, maintaining their hotel.
Scratchy, old, worn out,, thing blankets, carpet that hasn't been replaced for more then a decade (which isn't a deal breaker except they bill as a boutique hotel which is supposed to have that stuff).
Man, I could go on!!!
Didn't ask for refund since reviews and Airbnb policy is so strict on refunds. Will never stay here agin
