My wife, Sister-In-Law, & I just returned from Edgewater Resort after a week of fishing & relaxation. We first went to Edgewater resort some 40+ years ago while Vic & Loretta was still alive. Their two girls assisted in the operations which Sue & Bob continues to carry on their family business. Every time we have been to Edgewater it was & has always been joyous, memorable, and great seeing Sue & Bob. Our cabin was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and stocked with all of the amenities a family needs for a relaxing vacation. Both Sue & Bob were very helpful in getting us checked in and settled for the week. We felt very safe & secure as Bob was always throughout the entire property performing daily chores & duties...... and helping their clients as needed. We enjoyed seeing Bob regularly, having conversations, and getting his input on any questions & concerns we might have had. The view and wildlife was beyond our wildest imagination...........Simply Amazing. I can say honestly that Bob & Sue are customer oriented, always ready to assist, and two of the most genuine congenial & kind people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. They truly made us feel welcome and part of their circle of friends. My highest regards go out to Sue & Bob for their rock solid attitude to put their clients #1. We will be back to see Edgewater and once again catching up with Sue & Bob.

Respectfully,

Awesome views and lake access with boat docks, swim in the lake or pool. We stayed once and returned for another stay because we were impressed with the cabin, views, and lake access as well as the owners who are knowledgeable and helpful. The cabins are super clean and timeless with many amenities to stay on the lake. We'll be back as soon as we can with and without the kiddos. Thank you!

If you’re going to come down to this beautiful lake do not stay at edge water. Do NOT stay at edge water. All they have done since we been here is yell and be nasty to us. Bob has put our citronella in our bag of charcoal. He could have poisoned us. Came in the cabins while we where gone turned the ac off and shut all the fans off and what ever else he did in the cabin that we don’t know about. Bob is a creep watching people from a far. I would not put anything past this man. This is our 3rd day and our last day at edge water. We were asked to leave on the 3rd day because we wanted other people to know what they were getting into. Call chit chat chaw!

Absolutely the worst place you can stay at bull shoals lake. Bob the owner will talk down to you. Sue will come into your cabin while you are gone and turn up your air conditioner. We asked them why they were in our cabin. She lied to us and said she was changing out towels. The funny part is we didn't get new towels. If you read the list of rules that are in the cabin. It clearly states to put your dirty towels in the laundry basket and set them on the picnic table outside and she will come by and replace them. Don't bring tiki torches, outdoor lights, or a canopy. Those aren't allowed. I put up some outdoor lights on my canopy. Bob came by while we were gone and took them down. I was never told they weren't allowed. I was never asked to take them down either. Bob will tell you how and when to launch your boat. He asked me repeatedly if he could pull my truck and trailer out of the water. He will sit and watch every move you make. My 13 year old daughter didn't want to be outside because of Bob being creepy and watching us. I was told that I couldn't play horse shoes because the post will hit a water line. I'm pretty sure water lines are 36 inches deep in the ground. Bob put tiki fluid in my charcoal. Luckily I caught it before I used it. When we asked them about it they denied it. Sue told me that the wind blew it off the ground and up into a full bag of charcoal. The bedrooms are hot, the refrigerator is small. If you bring all your food for the week you will have to use a cooler because it won't fit in the refrigerator. They don't have ice either. So you have to drive 30 minutes to town or go to the marina to get ice. Can't leave your coolers inside so they sit out in the heat. Sue came by at 8am and asked us to leave. She then called another resort that we were lucky enough to get into, and threatened to call the corps on them. She told me if we were out by noon she would refund my money. She charged me the daily rate of $210 instead the weekly rate per day. They basically tried to ruin our family vacation. If you are coming to bull shoals do yourself a HUGE favor. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

All we can say is AWESOME! The owners, Bob & Sue were always available to make sure we had everything we needed to make our yearly "anniversary trip" a wonderful experience.
The cabin we stayed in was spotless and very well stocked with kitchen necessities, linens, and bedding.
We had two kids (on separate days) showed up unexpectedly for an overnight stay and both we're welcomed by Bob & Sue and even showed how to get to our cabin and where to park.
The boat ramp and docks are very well maintained and so easy to get to. About a 60 ft walk from our cabin and we could be at our boat which was in a covered, well lighted slip included with our cabin rental.
The best thing is Edgewater Resorts' policy is if you stay in a cabin this year you are guaranteed to stay there the next year.
Thank you so much Bob & Sue for making our stay with you relaxing and enjoyable! We are already looking forward to next year!

Clean cabins with all the amenities you need and a little further from town which makes the lake life vacation more enjoyable. Best views and access to the lake, bring your boat or swim in the cove or the swimming pool. Owners are friendly, knowledgeable, and friendly. Don't be too proud to ask for help, they know about boating and fishing and can provide help. Thank you for your hospitality.

Where to start! We were rushed from the second we pulled in to their property. Sue and Bob showed us the cabin. Then told us we needed to launch our boat before we could even get everything unloaded from the truck and boat. Bob stood down at the dock watching us unload the whole time. I walked down to tell him we would be a little bit. I needed to get our stuff put away. He said he had other people coming so we needed to do it now. Mind you I just got done driving for 6 hours to get there. I went up and got the boat and backed it down. He proceeded to try and tell us how to launch my boat. He asked repeatedly if he could pull my truck and trailer up. I told him politely that we didn't need any help. He stood over my shoulder the entire time we were launching the boat. On the second day we were there. Bob was sitting in a cabin above us just watching every move we made. Talk about creepy. We put up a pop up canopy to create more shade. That was a huge problem for them. We had lights on our canopy so we could sit outside at night. That was another huge problem. Instead of asking us to remove the lights. Bob thought he would just come take them down. He put them in a bag and set them in the bed of my truck. Sue came into our cabin and turned down the air conditioner and shut the fans off. We were out on the lake and it was 90 plus degrees outside. So it would of been really nice nice to come back to a cold cabin after spending hours on the lake. When we asked her about coming in to our cabin. She first tried to deny it. Then she said she came in to see if we need towels. Well there wasn't any new towels. It says that if you need new towels put the dirty ones in a basket on the picnic table outside and she will come by give new ones. She just wanted to snoop around. We were also told that we couldn't use tiki torches. No big deal right! I mean there was a citronella candle on the table. It probably had about a days worth of wax left in it. |We came back from the lake one day and I noticed that some of our things had been tampered with. I look over and noticed there was something leaking in my bag of charcoal. I look in there. Bob had put the tiki torch canister in my charcoal. The citronella leaked all over my charcoal. I confronted Sue about it and she denied everything. She said the wind could of blew it in there. I made her replace my bag of charcoal. The next morning about 9am Sue came down and asked us to leave. She said if we are out of there by noon. She would refund our money. We agreed. We started packing our things and we were ready to leave in an hour. I go up to get them so they can inspect the cabin. I find Bob and he won't even say a word to me. He just points to his wife. He is such a coward he has his wife do all his bidding for him. Anyway she only refunds me 600 out of the 1300 I paid to stay there. She said she was charging a daily rate instead of the weekly rate. I told her that it wasn't any fault of my own and I should be refunded the entire amount minus the 3 days. The 3 days should of been charged at $172 per day. She disagreed and charged me $210 a day instead. We made other arrangements at a nearby resort. Sue called that resort and threatened to call the corps on them if they allowed us to stay there. I had my kids with me. She was trying to ruin everyone's vacation. Bob and Sue are the worst owners of a resort that I have ever been too. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT STAY AT EDGEWATER.

Dear readers.
I'm not one to leave a review, or to put much stock in them. I just want to know if the rooms are clean and that the beds are good and in a safe area.
Humble little me was absolutely blown away.. I can't believe how clean our cabin was, I have never stayed in a cleaner place. We take our own bedding and pillows anywhere we go because we love our sheets and pillows not to mention you just never know... This is the first time ever we didn't even unpack any of it. They have the Best sheets! And,
(My pillows) Really good beds! We loved our stay! Bob and Sue are some of the Best and hard working people on earth. If you want to step back in time
to a better place this is it. Perfect for Kids and a family get away. If you are looking to get loud n rouddy and party this isn't for you.
