My husband and I had an intimate wedding ceremony in the library at the FAR and our reception in the theater, and it could not have been any better! This venue was the perfect canvas for the truly unique wedding we had always envisioned. We worked with Silvia, and she was so kind throughout the entire process. She was a good communicator, and was always more than happy to answer any questions. I also have to commend the FAR for being upfront and honest about pricing and for being very reasonable with their prices (something not often said about anything associated with weddings). The FAR is truly a gem in Bloomington, both because of the beauty and history of the space, but also because of the people you meet and work with there. I would recommend this space to anyone.

Having our event at FAR was wonderful. We didn't need to do much decoration since the venue is so classy. Silvia is fantastic to work with, great communication and helpful when we had questions.

Our group really enjoyed the location. This was the first time we held our formal at FAR. We've used other locations in the past, but FAR worked out so well for us that we plan to come back.

My husband and I had the perfect wedding at FAR. And I’m not just saying that because it was my wedding—it genuinely turned out to be one of the best days I’ve ever experienced. A huge part of that is thanks to this beautiful space and the amazing team, specifically Silvia, who made it all happen. We had originally planned an 80 person wedding in October, but my sister was unexpectedly diagnosed with terminal cancer and we nearly had to cancel our wedding out of fear that October would be too late to celebrate with my sister still with us. Silvia quite literally saved our wedding. She helped us reschedule the event to a much earlier date, re-work our vision into a different space, and was so incredibly kind, understanding, and helpful throughout the entire process. We could not have asked for better people to work with or a more lovely venue. FAR will always hold a special place in our hearts.

FAR was and absolutely gorgeous setting for our small wedding. I saw photos of their library space online before visiting and was struck by how intimate and breathtaking of a room it was - I was so happy that these feelings were validated when we went to visit! It was clear that no other venue could compare, and the price was very reasonable. We ended up using the library for the ceremony and the gallery space for the reception/dinner. The entire night went so smoothly and was perfect in every way, and I would chose this venue again in a heartbeat if I could! I worked mainly with Silvia during the four months prior to the wedding, and she was incredibly responsive, helpful, and thoughtful in her organization - she even continued to do so even while abroad. Frances was the representative present the day of the wedding and was also very kind, helpful, and easygoing, allowing us to use the theater space as the bridal suite and for pictures on their amazing blue couch. She and my other vendors worked seamlessly to make our dream a reality, and I will forever be grateful to them for that.

FAR is an incredible wedding venue and event space. As an Indiana wedding photographer, I’ve shot here on several occasions and I fall in love with it more each time. The staff are amazing to work with and the space itself is really versatile. I love that it’s more intimate, and of course love the visual appeal of each room. The artsy/modern/intimate feel of this venue is an absolute dream… I can’t wait for the next time I’m back there!
