Well unfortunately I can't base my rating on having stayed at these accommodations but I have had a lengthy conversation with the lady that runs the place over the phone from Arizona and found her to be very courteous and helpful and friendly and professional and I'm excited to hopefully stay there when I come out in may. I'm looking for extended stay which we spoke about on the phone and looking forward to meeting more people like her during my time there. I've done all the research that I can over the internet and it certainly seems like a good fit for me and I'm very picky about where I live and the people I live around. You folks can be expecting a phone call from me any day to make reservations for my 12-ft pull-behind trailer and me

The place was musty and dirty had dirty dish in the sink moldy coffee in the coffee pot and later on I found someone in my cabin. Apparently it was double booked. Stayed the night in my van. Can't clean the simple things can't trust the beds.

Dump operated by a crusty skank and a hen pecked dim wit in need of whatever the opposite of a lobotomy is. Do not stay here if you have kids. Rooms are sticky. Known for gouging fire fighters during fire season for profit. Backwards town, drink bottled water while here. Very possible there's something in the water that is making people in happy camp stunted.

Family had a very good time kitchen bathroom tv for our use. Dryer didn't work needed for grand children but coin operated dryer hut work for $1.50 saved the day. Loved the area fishing and hiking.

The place was very dirty and unsafe. Cabins were not cleaned towels smelled bad and bed linen did not smell or look clean. There was mold in one of the cabins and the shower knobs were falling off. We reserved the house and were told that the firefighters had extended their contract which I’m COOL with that my hats off to them BUT was given HORRIBLE accommodations. Exposed insulation and electrical wires. One of the cabins looked like it was occupied still by someone. The other cabin looked dirty. We had to stay the night cause I could not find anything else available for that night. Left the next day and to top it off I felt the manager was RUDE at times then trying to be nice then RUDE again.

We stayed in the Chili Pepper Cabin for three days and loved it. The cabin is rustic and cute. My kids were thrilled about the wifi and tv. Plus we had three other family members who stayed in the tent area nearby which was convenient. It was perfect for the price. The staff were super friendly and pointed us to some great swimming holes nearby. There's a grocery store across the street and the fabulous Karuk People's Center museum a few blocks away (Full Disclosure: I'm Karuk so admittedly biased about the museum's awesomeness).

We brought our travel trailer to Happy Camp and stayed a week at Big Foot. The hookups were perfect, the wifi was Excellent, and the owners became friends from the first conversation. It's like staying in a quiet city park with a bunch of relaxed friendly people. I was worried about noise but that is not a problem and the trees and grass make for a very pleasant setting.||||If you stay here:||-my wife judged the bathrooms/showers "just fine" and nice and roomy||-there's a central lawn with a fountain, trees and rose garden (very good for playing guitar in the evenings)||-there's a potluck for the park each week||-once a week there's a farmer's market where you can have a steak dinner and conversation||-the store is in walking distance||||We are hardcore river people and we raft/kayak each day. Very close to Happy Camp is exciting Class III water or if you prefer, nice easy floating. The water is just a little cool and refreshing on the hot summer days.||||I would definitely stay here again when we come back.
